Jaycee Horn to Active-PUP List

Recommended Posts

Be cautious and rest up.

Maybe a hot take (maybe not), but I honestly think our offense is about to upend the defense as to what carries us. Defense is scaring me in what is largely a thin front 7, and questionable secondary outside of Chinn. Going to NEED Horn to be a lockdown CB this year.

Horn maybe the only player that could be placed on PUP and Im still not worried about it. Its protection for himself, he for sure would push through the swellness. It's day 1, if hes not off by week 2....then it's huddle panic time for me..

I'm hoping CJ has the mental side of the game down now because he has the physical talent to sub in for Horn. I just hope Horn doesn't break the other foot, or re-injure the broken foot, or injury anything, or get COVID, or a bad hang nail. Basically I'm worried.

Injuries are a hard thing to predict.  However it sounds like they are just being smart right now and holding him out as a precaution from soreness. I wouldn’t worry too much yet…

They are but when you ignore two guys who would have filled a major hole for a guy who may never play again it's pretty embarrassing and shows you're a trash organization.

hell fug the QB's, Patrick surtain is looking like a future pro bowler for the broncos while Horn has a gimp foot. Just brutal.

The same foot injury ended Greg Olson's career. I was hopeful that age would heal that injury faster but this is extremely concerning.

not sure i'd disagree. i know my kids wouldn't.

nah I get it’s not ideal that he’s not 100% by now and that he missed a bunch of his rookie year but there’s just no reason to worry that he’s injury prone right now. CMC obviously yes he’s injury prone. Gronkowski? Luke with the concussions? Yeah. But until Horn has any other injuries he’s no different than a guy like Brady or Manning who each have had 1 serious injury in their entire careers and no other issues.

    • Been here a while but rarely post and most of them are smartazz. Mostly lurk just so I can sound informed while hanging out drinking beer in my neighbors garage. Amusingly a Huddle level of knowledge kind of makes you a subject matter expert. Thanks for that.
    • That’s similar as saying MVP Cam is the same as rookie Cam because his mechanics didn’t change. We’re talking about production.
    • In 2025 Sam Darnold had over 1k more passing yards than Bryce Young on 1 less pass attempt. Repeat that to yourself several times and let it sink in. I absolutely love it when people come on here and invoke Sam Darnold like some gotcha. Darnold is the physical prototype for what anyone needs in a franchise QB. All the physical tools. Few people thought he would put it all together on the mental side of the position. He used to make some of the worst decisions you would ever see. At times in the past he made up for that with absurd throws and athleticism. But make no mistake whatsoever no matter how you feel about our starting QB. Bryce Young is a completely opposite conundrum. He lacks virtually any and all physical tools and athleticism and his elite processing is really mediocre at best on a good day and horrific on a bad day. These are realities people should have already been addressing instead of quadrupling down in year four.
