Scott Fowler just went IN on Tepper after that press conference yesterday

Wow Scott. wow.

Tepper was pretty much as ass through the entire pc, but never thought I would see anything like this. Watch out Scott...as you know Tepper is a vindictive bully...and a very rich one. Wonder if he is thinking about retirement or has another job lined up.

Okay, after ready the juice, Scott's article isn't that damning or incendiary.

More of a combination of a save-face, "look at me", and continuing the illusion of sparring without really sinking that deep.

Tepper went out in public and took it on the chin, and it's not like he beat him down verbally, he had a minor/somewhat agitated response to Fowler.  He claimed he has to learn, will likely seek consultants for the next coach, and is moving forward trying to win.

I think reporters are wanting him to somehow admit fault for not firing Rhule at the end of last year, or to get a reason.  Well I think it was clear: Rhule needed to come into this year hot, pants on fire, we had a new QB with playoff wins under his belt, new OC, and let's see, 5 weeks in, we have the worst team in the league.  So yeah, he's fired after being kindly allowed a third chance.  Tepper gave him that final shot whether people like it or not, and you know, he had enough after it started off again.  He got new coaches, a new QB, and still sucked.   So we pulled to cord sooner than later this time.

Got nothing but respect for Fowler for that article. Tepper needs to come down off his high horse. It's gonna take a village to fix this team. He's not going to end up being the savior. He needs to understand that.

Tepper literally said that yesterday, and he also took accountability and admitted he took a risk on Rhule and lost. Weird take.

    • When I tell people I was at that game, they usually say oh that’s so cool you had the experience. I call it soul crushing. Why? The weeks and months leading up to it were great, the team was fun to watch every week…some weeks the offense was unstoppable and carried the team (saints and giants road games), other times the defense carried the load (jaguars, tampa). Lots of back and forth games against good teams (Seattle and Indy). Good young players on the team, but the veteran leadership was incredible…from Cam, Olsen, Kalil and J Stew to Luke, TD, Norman, Tillman, Jared Allen, CJ. Role players like Fozzy Whitaker, Cotchery (he caught that MFer), Philly brown, Kyle love, AJ Klein, and so on.  The Friday before the nfc championship my wife and I after a few drinks said let’s see what prices look like for flights/accommodations and we got to talking about how much prices would increase if we waited until we found out if we would be in the big game. We said screw it, we are only out $200 if we have to cancel.  Of course we come out and just pulverized the cardinals in front of the most raucous crowd by far we’ve ever had. We had no idea what we would do for game tickets and then found out a neighbor who worked for the team could get us 2 for face value (each employee got two of their own for free, something cool that JR did).  But then the NFL mafia decided that the storyline of manning going out on top like Elway would give them more goodwill than a non traditional QB who didn’t connect with their target demo and the rest is history. I never have and never will watch that game again. I am just hoping I can see them win one in the 2nd half of my life.
    • Dude you are smart fan. 3 on 0 breakaways won’t matter who is in net. You gotta be better on this one.
    • Raiders are gonna get a good one. Rather have Mendoza fly out and play for the Panthers tomorrow than Bryce
