I believe the whole team suffer from reps...

Rhule had them in a hotdog eating contest or something

I didn’t think about it, but if the QBs were getting limited reps in training, maybe the WRs were getting limited reps too, since TMJ was down the depth cart and didn’t get the reps

I've said all year he is our #2. Now with Robbie gone, DJ can assume his true #1 role and flourish. Jaw Pain is gonna get comfy at flanker. Shi is going to be more open underneath as a result, and Tremble will get more opportunities finding soft spots in zones.

This is the best case scenario.

Aside from his drop... i was a little bit impressed on his catch technique..... Thoughts?

I absolutely love that he is a hands catcher. You can trust those guys a whole lot more than those body catchers. He also took a couple shots today and never missed a beat.

I know it's early. But those calling him a bust may have some crow acoming.

What I’ve always thought that once I saw Matt didn’t even make his upgrade at center a clear starter I figured all positions suffer from that same ignorance.

    • He has attempted 8 shootout goals in his NHL career and made 1. He is among our worst SO guys on the entire roster in terms of career stats.
    • Against Miami, the Panthers were behind by 17 in the 2nd quarter facing a 4th - 5. Young completed a 21 yard pass and they went on to score 7 on that drive. Then in the 4th, down by 4, they faced a 4th - 5 and again, he completed a 17 yard pass and they went onto score a TD for the win. He also accounted for 2 of the 3 TD's.  As I said, he got them in that mess and no doubt, Rico gets credit as well, but missing on either of those 4th down conversions hands the ball over and results in 1 or 2 less TD's giving them a loss. As you said though, that's just a small quibble. The real question is how does the FO see it?  I am guessing they see it as something to build on. I think most peope here see it as a total loss and fully expect the FO to see it that way as well. Time will tell.
    • Kochetkov is just too streaky. TBD if Freddie is doing that too. Freddie is the more reliable goalie over his career. The Bussi kid looks like he could be a solid #2 eventually.  Just need to figure out the #1 guy. Same as almost every year. It's not talent, it's consistency and being able to step up in the playoffs.
