Why would any fan who wants to be anything more than mediocre want to keep Wilks?  Because that is what he is.  A mediocre HC.  Sure, he's a good leader, but it takes more than that to be a good HC.  Go look at the Lions.  Campbell is a great leader who gets his team to fight hard, and what has it gotten them?  

If Panthers stick with Wilks beyond this season, then we are doomed.

It sucks for him to be in this situation, because I do think he’s a good coach. That being said, his methods and philosophy are completely outdated. We can’t hold ourselves back and not be up to date with current offensive trends because he’s a local guy and good guy. 

Get our franchise QB this draft with an offensive minded HC and lets get this team back on track for the next decade.

      It's crazy with how much winning was going on when we had a little cool off period that we're still just a couple games out of 6th. Moussa is getting better every week and Coby is getting comfortable. Would be nice to get to 6 but I think this team is a lot more stacked than the last couple play ins. I can't remember the exact rules but if you're 7th seed and win the first game I think you automatically move on and don't have to play the second game?

      I think it was a thing for sure. Panthers weren’t too many people’s first choice. Or 5th choice.  2022 and 2023… coaches fired mid season. Consecutive years. You want any of that?  He has definitely overseen a rehab of how the Panthers are perceived. Because we are a place that is seen as up and coming. And just the little thing of he accommodated Theilen so graciously, that gets noticed. It all adds up. Dan is doing a lot of things right, probably most things.  Needs a good draft.

      K, I think that is dumb, but you do you. I didn't find anything online that made him out to be a dislikable person. I am certain the Panthers would have cared so much if they lost your fandom if they hired Sean Payton. But bet you would have come crawling back if Sean lead us to a Super Bowl victory or Golden leads UNC to a champion ship. It is easy to say you are gonna leave a team if the hire someone you dislike when the chips are down. But people like you tend to come crawling back once the team finds success.
