Everyone saying Luke for DC, but what about OC?

He literally knew the opponents offense better than the they did.

It seems silly, but has anyone studied offense like he did during his playing days?

I just want this man coaching for us no matter what he’s coaching.

I actually was thinking the same thing... if he could read offenses as well as he could... what about defenses? Wouldnt be the first defensive player to be an OC

He was already the DC here for 8 years. It will be great to have him back to coordinate from the booth.

He's the closest I've seen on the defensive side of the ball to player-coach. Seriously. Peyton was also essentially a player-coach. Brady is trying to be now that he's not under authoritarian coaches in Belichick/Arians; it ain't going so well for him...

Start him as an assistant or Lb coach. He does well there then DC is a possibility. Playing and coaching are two totally different things. All thought Luke is smart and a leader so it could work.

This. Either LB Coach, or something like Pass Defense Coordinator. I don't have any doubt that he'd thrive in the role. And let him work his way up the chain. A lunch-pail guy like Luke would want to earn the job anyway.

Not necessarily. Great players don’t really make great coaches. Most of the good coaches were guys with enough talent to get them to the pros and ride the bench or a D2 scholarship athlete.

Art Shell and Mike Ditka would like to have a word out back.

He said in an interview last year that he would love to be an OC.
