He had no TE help. Tremble, Thomas are better than the TE they brought up from their practice squad.

We have better receivers and tight ends and a better o line. This offense has more weapons than young Daniel has ever had.

He had coaching changes, Gettleman f' ups. NO he didn't have better in NY. He'd be a better player with this squad and he really stepped up his game.

I said at the end of the year. He had three WRs really step up. If they can blossom next year, they're in a good spot. But anyone that wants Jones here will get the same result we had with Sam.

Just curious...did the Payton interview take place in NYC?  If so, any guesses on why that location?

I'm assuming it's probably easier/more flight options for Payton to fly from LA into NYC than to CLT and it's a short trip for Tepper and co anyway. They could potentially have conducted the interview at the league offices which are located on 345 Park Ave in NYC.

I thought the story circulating around Payton from the start was he wasn't interested in Carolina since it did not meet his list of wants with the qb situation. Nothing has changed with our qb situation except Baker is gone.

Nobody actually knows. Most are just throwing darts at a blank wall

It's funny that fans have convinced themselves that Steichen is the target. There is literally nothing substantial in terms of reporting that seems to back this claim up. All wild speculation.

We are just as likely to hire Frank Reich as we are Stiechen at this point.

Regarding the second version of this thread, I don't mind discussion around tweets/the search, but maybe save the draft status of future QBs for a different thread.

Very curious to see which of those virtuals become in person, how many 2nd interviews we have, etc...

Tepper: Sean you want the job?

Sean: Nope

Tepper: Thank you for your time.

He wouldn't have done the interview in person, he'd have just done a zoom like he did with the Texans.

He wants the job, at the very least he's interested in it.

    • I had everything saved on an old email address and my computer crashed and could not be revived.  I tried reviving it, then stumbled on one I was going to create several years ago...So I am using it instead.  My fault--did not keep the email and forgot password--
    • Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.is what i am actually referring to in that particular post  all those #'s you are referring to are athletic #'s & Monroe Freeling had or has an impressive combination of size & raw athletiscm & it has nothing do with his size or athelticsm that is preventing him from being a day 1 starter in the NFL technique is where he struggled at the NFL combine & not only scouts but analysts alike also viewed him as more of a developmental type of player rather than a day 1 starter  go take a look at Will Campbell transition from the SEC to the NFL another first round LT that was drafted #4 overall by the New England Patriot,s.Will Campbell was a three year starter at  LSU & was thought to be one of if not the very best LT's in the SEC  & compare his SEC carrer to his rookie season in the NFL? just because you played good in the SEC at LT does nescarrily mean you are ready to start at LT in the NFL day 1 & or your rookie season  & one last thing i think you are jumping to conclusion & somehow assuming that i do not like Monroe Freeling ?which could not be further from the truth .what i do not like is the idea starting a player who is not ready ...just saying
