The defense is old and the Oline is Falling apart .. Im good that they are trying to avoid a rebuild they should be doing..

That they are.  And to some degree have been doing for a few years now.  It is reminiscent of the Hurney era here, that every year we "were only a couple of pieces away" except we 1) never seemed to acquire the proper pieces, and 2) partially because of #1, we were always a little further than we thought.

They may be hoping he can successfully make them a scavenger, like Tampa was this year.  The division is bad, and given the Bucs situation, if we don't improve (and identify a QB) and the Falcons don't improve, they can win the division.  That's a lot of IFs.

They look to me like the Titanic.  They have hit the iceberg, have water rushing into six compartments, and they are trying to stay afloat by addressing one compartment at a time while the ship is sinking.

I'd have been much more concerned had they magically found a way to draft a QB, filling that gap on a rookie deal.

Exactly.. The team should have been on rebuild mode when Brees and Payton left.. Bit they refuse to do this and the cap magic they do isn’t for a Super Bowl contender but barley winning a bad division now.. This will blow in their faces and they have set themselves back atleast 6 years now..

This will finally blow up when Loomis retires. Dude is a cap manipulation god. Until then, it just is what it is.

    • it's pretty simple IMO.  The Tepper Panthers are the most unsuccessful professional sports in all of sports.  The problem isn't the posters here have changed.  The product dictates the atmosphere more than anything.  In reality, the daily convos about THE worst team in all of pro sports on a fanatics site....is going to feature harsh and critical convo.  Only one entity can actually change that.  It's the Carolina Panthers football team.
    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
