Sign Chark, then draft a guy in the 2nd.

The group we have won’t be the best, but it can work for Stroud/Young’s first year.

I agree it’s a decent core to work with year two add a big time WR CJ takes major leaps we follow the second year QB in the Super Bowl route that’s been happening.

Sadly we can't afford him unless they take on a big portion of his contract.....due $19M

Please help them understand it’s just a little to pricey plus picks unless he’ll restructure to come closer to his home base. We need a young dynamic WR that can grow with our QB. Not a one or two year rental.

If we can land a legit vet and take another promising WR in the draft then I'll fell okay at WR. Seems pretty clear that it's not going to be a great unit next year outside of some shocking development by players currently on the roster landing a steal in the draft, or swinging a surprising deal for a vet but maybe they at least won't be awful.

I really think the WR corps is going to surprise this coming season.  Be it Stroud or Richardson, I anticipate the offense is just gonna be about getting it out quick and letting guys do the damage once the ball is in their hands, with occasional bombs.  I think for the first time in a very, very long time, we are going to have a system that makes our players better versus us always having been reliant on the players to make up for the lack of a system/coaching in the past.  And any of the guys being talked about will fit just fine in Reich's system and with how he plans on using the rookie QB.

I hope so. I'm hoping the staff sees some serious untapped potential in our current guys. We certainly seem to be operating as if they do.

Why would we care if he plays for the Tigers? The Tigers do not play in North Carolina

That’s not the point. He would have played for the Tigers, Jaguars, Lions and Panthers. He will have the right to take @TheBigKat screen name if he signs as he will have represented all big cats.

    • I mean, in theory Bryce could get over the hump. That aside, you have to know that due to the situation we are going to give him another year. From some perspectives, it just makes sense. I'm not saying that I agree or disagree with it, but it's not like the draft is chock full of franchise QBs. I'm thinking that only one, the consensus top pick, is destined to be the only one in this draft (and some people don't believe in him). All we can do is sure up the room with an FA (Pickett) and take a swing or two and hope (maybe the dawg Pavia). 2027 should bring better options if it comes to that.
    • Let's be honest here. We have one WR on this team that would be in the top 3 of ANY other team. And he was a rookie last year. I love Coker but he is an often injured UDFA. He wouldn't have even gotten a chance on other teams. The rookie injury would have bounced him around the league for the next 5 years until he stopped trying to make a roster. It's a numbers game for most teams and he would have (at best) been on some team's practice squad. But Carolina has been so devoid of talent at the position, that we didn't have much of a choice. Bryce leaves a lot of questions but to say he hasn't elevated anyone isn't true. No WR has left Carolina since he's started and did better on another team. Not one. And there are several to choose from. Coincidence? Maybe. Probably not.
