I can't make any promises. Someone gets too drunk/pissed and goes way off the rails then I'll put them in timeout, but I don't plan on being strict.

But if we draft Levis I'm banning everyone and then myself.

I will gladly accept said ban. Because at that point being a Panthers fan should get you banned from everything.

I had hoped for CJ Stroud long before we traded to #1, but you can't help not liking Young.  I'm excited either way and will get behind whoever they pick.

Almost like it's perfectly reasonable to think he's an awesome person but still perhaps not one's preferred QB.

Disclaimer I always make in these conversations: I have zero preference in this matter and do not follow/could not care less about college football. I'm just here to comment on the obvious.

Steph was more of a 2 in college and coming to the NBA he’s more of just a G. How the Warriors offense has run wasn’t always traditional Steph just walk up the court with the ball. Prime Draymond was more of a facilitator than him.

His height has nothing to do with anything, Steph would have to like 5'7" for his height to be a factor. He is not small for a G. Tons of guys have played G in the NBA well below Stephs height.

Barely any have played QB in the NFL at Bryces size, its not a good comparison.

Why are we talking about Steph Curry?  He plays basketball.  Football is a different sport.  Soccer is another different sport.  So Bryce is Leo Messi?  I don’t get it

Ronda rousey’s career comes to mind and sums up the young/stroud debate if you really think about it

cant day the same for steph tho

maybe Marty Hurney

All sports are comparable to an extent. The reason it’s brought up is because of correlation to another undersized play maker. If you want to stay within sport the common theme there is Brees. I don’t get why people get triggered so much by things that are relatively similar in concept.

Steph isn't undersized, he's bigger than Isiah Thomas (both), AI, Mugsy, Spud, Morant, Paul, etc..He's not some trailblazer because of his height

I see everybody seems blown away by this interview for some reason. It was a pretty basic athlete interview imo. But yeah he seems down to earth and humble

Yeah not much going on in that. He's mature for his age but he's been coached up for this for 10 years. I thought the CJ pivot was more interesting

Agreed, he seems to have the character and mental acuity that every team searches for in a QB. If this guy was even just 6'1, he would probably be the consensus number 1 by far. Very hard to not like him. Someone like that as a franchise player would most definitely rub off on others around him especially if he turns out to be any good.

It’s not his height that gives folks here pause, it’s his weight and frame. If he looked like he could get close to 220 and not lose any of his athletic ability he would have been the unquestioned #1 pick and folks would have never pushed for Stroud or Richardson as our pick.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
