Yeah looks like we're going quick strike yac offense with Chark over the top. Mingo can get out there too though, I forgot he was basically Corrals only weapon his last year at Ole Miss

Best way to protect a smaller qb, get the ball out of his hands quickly. Run the ball well and take deep shots off play action.

You can keep saying the same thing over and over again as much as you want. Yes you would need to replace Burns with a rookie DE or go buy one in FA. Yes you would have an extra first round pick (or 2 if you go FA). These are not new revelations.

Yeah but every defense needs a bonafide pass rusher and you just gutted your team of the star DE. You’re just going to end up wasting picks or trading assets to replace him.

Yeah, you got to think we carry 6 WRs max. I’m no particular order:

Thielen, Chark, Marshall, Shenault, Mingo, Byrd, Smith, Wright, Williams, Saunders.

The last 3 are probably gone but then you gotta decide between Bryd and Smith.

Unless there is a plan to make Laviska a RB.

I like Shi Smiths talent but I’m partial to Byrd . I think he’s always been an underrated player. We should have kept him a long time ago.

Excited about the Mingo pick. I can see why Fitt liked him based on the interview above.

One tidbit that I didn't see discussed is around the 4:00 mark, Mingo is asked about Corral. Said that during his visit, Matt told him how much he liked the new coaching staff, how his body feels better, and how he is understanding the offense better than he was last year....Later on he says that if Bryce gives him too much grief for Bama beating Ole Miss that him and Matt will have to gang up on Bryce 😆

Great personality and football knowledge from this kid. People are going to love him. I'm really excited for this pick. I'm expecting him and TMJ to learn quite a bit from Thielen and Chark too. Hopefully the fresh faces and new competition brings out a spark from the whole group. We need that for our rookie quarterback.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
