Monday night uniforms

The people complaining about this complaint don’t understand the underlying non-verbal messaging. Constantly missing the mark on seemingly little issues is systemic of larger problems around just simply not getting it. First and most importantly, at the end of the day the NFL is a TV show and the Panthers are an actor vying for a lead role. Our owner is our agent and he consistently doesn’t know how to position us to be the leading man.

The Panthers all-blacks are cursed anyways. They should never wear them again

As frustrated as I am with this missed opportunity, I can’t totally disagree. That all black is the best look in football but I’ll be dayumed if this team doesn’t forget to put their soul in those uniforms. They just put their body in the uniform and strut out to the gallows for a hanging.

this “I don’t care if they wear pink, just win baby!” take is so cringe

theyre obviously doing it to make a statement, it should bother you a little bit.

it also means they want a little extra juice for this game against us, because they expect us to be hyped and the stadium to be hyped. Gotta do our part.

The Cowboys always wear white at home.

Yeah from when I grew up they were one of the few. Also, I don’t like them. Lol

And I actually think the whites are their best looking Jersey. What I think doesn’t matter but they aren’t in the majority when doing that.

This might be something of a myth but I remember it being said that wearing white at home in the playoffs was a thing because our first two home playoff games were against the Cowboys and it forced them to wear their "unlucky" blues.

We wear them so much I almost think of the white jersey/pants combo as our home uniform tbh.

People thinking looking good doesn't matter clearly never played lol. The players care at all levels I can tell you that much. OFC just even more reason even if at the bottom of reasons why no one gives af about the boring *yawn* Panthers.

At least using one of the best uniforms in NFL history would be something instead its lol on top of the lol. Can't even look good while playing bad.

    • Completely agreed.  TBH, we have had so many great players that are in my favorite list, and I hate to narrow it down to one, but Cam is it.  Which is crazy, because you would think it would be more of the guys I grew up watching, but no.  Cam was the single most impactful player to ever out on a football uniform imo.  And like I said in an earlier post, I always felt a kinship with him in a lot of ways…  the way he was treated and judged for the off the field stuff in Florida and having to overcome all of that and fight show at back.  And although I am not a black man, I have always been welcomed by and accepted more by minorities, and thus, I know what it’s like to be judged by appearances rather than the content of your character and who you actually are.  I know what it’s like to be stereotyped and written off or mistreated for your mistakes.  I know what it’s like to be held to a different standard while your peers don’t have to meet that same standard.  So I always related to that.  And the way he came in and just electrified the whole franchise, man…  I still think about it often how much it sucks that because of how talented he was, our staff out so much on him and that ultimately cut his career short.  You’re right, there will never be another Cam…  I think Josh Allen is the closest thing we will see for a long time, but Allen is not the running threat Cam was.  Cam could run you over or around you.  That was THE absolute funnest time to watch our team ever.
    • It definitely needs more specificity than is baked in now.
    • The weirdest encounter I had with a pro athlete was waiting in line at security at Mile High Stadium when I used to get the company suite tickets almost every week because I was the only employee based in Colorado. There's a small checkpoint accessing the suites that virtually no one knows about that you can usually squirt right through. I was standing there and looked over my shoulder and there stands John fuging Elway waiting in line behind me.  This was during the The Golden Calf of Bristol season right before he became GM. I just said "They make YOU go through security?" He's like "Yeah, ain't that a bitch. I literally have a statue out front and I gotta go through security like everybody else." I've heard mixed things about him but he was super nice and down to earth with me that day.
