I hate disagree with some but I dont see his arm strength as a problem. Seems to make all the throws to me.

I don’t think it’s the arm strength. It’s that he’s too easy to bring down. His small stride doesn’t allow him to make easy short yard pick ups.

That and his accuracy hasn’t shown up yet. He left some plays on the field today. He’s either  too quick to throw it away or he  holds the ball too long doesn’t let guys go get it.

He’s so committed to structure and having the wide open guy that it makes him predictable. Reich needs to tell him to let it rip. If he throws picks it’s fine. Just move the ball. We have to get aggressive.

I’m so f*cking sick of everyone saying “Bryce needs playmakers”

#1, he’s the first overall pick in the draft. He’s supposed to BE the playmaker. Cam Newton was also a #1 overall pick, a player WORTHY of that selection because he was a true playmaker. You take a QB that needs “playmakers” to be successful in the 2nd round.

#2, these skill players aren’t nobodies. Thielen has been an extremely productive WR in the NFL. Chark is productive when healthy and to my knowledge didn’t even have a catch tonight. Miles Sanders has been productive in some very good offenses and has his preferred position coach with him. Hayden Hurst was a first round pick and has been a moderately productive TE in the NFL.

#3, this coaching staff was supposed to be “all star” level and should be getting more out of the offense. Instead it looks worse than Ben McAdoo calling plays with a paper bag on his head. Maybe there are too many cooks in the kitchen to be successful.

Maybe the Panthers are just cursed. Either way if another person says “Bryce Young needs playmakers” you’re just not right.

He’s got no confidence in himself. He lined up behind a guard and had to be pushed by his RB to the center. I have never seen that happen before.

The stage is too big for him and he needs to sit until he figures it out. He could be the smartest kid in the world but if he doesn’t have confidence when the lights come on then it’s all for nothing.

I’d love it if he had Cam’s confidence but I’d even take Baker’s at this point.

It's still a team sport, like it or not.

Bryce isn't excused from blame but I do still believe that he has the talent to be a good QB. I honestly put the fault on Frank and his staff. Frank comes from Philly's system. They NEED to establish the run to set up the big play action downfield!! Our interior O-line is trash right now, see all of the plays where he runs Sanders into our own brick wall for no gain then we get stuck with 2nd and long, 3rd and long. This is what plagued Darnold and Mayfield during their time here.

If ya'll watch the Philly game vs MN game, MN defense shut down their passing game and Hursts looked like an average QB. Philly ran the ball with Swift for 150+ yds and then hit Smith for those long gains. Our team does not have the talent to establish the run game right now. Even the Saints established the run game tonight to set up the big plays to Olave.

He is just super limited. Out routes? Forget it. That's a pick six. Quick slants? Better be off play action and the LBs better bite. Deep ball? Just LOL.

The guy can basically throw screens and drags. Everything else better be WIDE. ASS. OPEN.

i hate UNC but we fuged up not taking howell last year, would have been fine with it cause he could make throws. didnt think he was the world beater others did, but nfl caliber upside sure, that was clear. thought the big year he had really was as much of superior wrs/rb duo than him. but he could hit them in small windows and in stride. stroud was my guy this year. both throw guys open and into nfl windows.

teams are keyed into the run game when we do and bryce hasnt really shown he can hit the windows or  get it close (ATL game) when they were open. so yeah this is bad news. maybe FR is really old urban and we get better after the dino is gone. but this is a baaaaaad look.

    • lol well that kinda ended up working out in the end, even though I still don't have my jersey yet. Was supposed to ship by tomorrow this time, but just got another email saying it was delayed another 3 weeks and because it's been delayed so long, I had to tell them to keep the order or cancel it, but gave me a 25% off my next order as an apology. Well, my original fear came true and they are now selling the FUSE version (but still not the Blue unfortunately) before the one I ordered was ever shipped. But that's awesome, because I was able to use that coupon to order the FUSE instead and then cancelled the original order.  So I got the jersey I wanted for only $6.30 more than the crappier version costs, and it also says it will be shipped immediately and get here early next week, or 2 weeks before the other was now supposed to be shipped out.
    • I've watched this and think we are well underway.  Believe it or not, Bryce is a big part of this.  The way he bounced back with such grace.  And we've got a lot of young players who want to make their mark, Dave is giving them an opportunity.  I loved our draft.  I like the number of guys we brought in, and they will help build the culture we want under Dave.  We're getting closer, and I think we'll see more wins this year than most of the board. The right culture breeds winning, and winning builds the right culture.  Imho, it's coming.
    • As others have said it's both. One creates the other. But it also takes time sometimes years. And there have been teams lately with new car smell coaching staffs that looked like they were putting it together quickly but things came crashing back down to Earth. Sustainability is the key. For that to happen the meddling of our owners has to stop and they cannot be tempted to return to their ways over any bump in the road either.
