Actually, yes. He was very high on Shi Smith his rookie year.

Not really. He was simply rooting for the kid and took a personal stock in him.

Hilarious but wildly unprofessional on 89s part.

Y'all keep on saying this, but I don't see it. He explained himself---what and why he called Jeudy over, and then he reported what happened. And, finally, he ended on a pointed analysis of Jeudy's problem with criticism (which has been documented).

He is also very high on Mingo…

Dude, he thought Mingo had some upside, especially with contested balls. He was high on D.J. Moore

Steve Smith calling out someone for not being mentally strong enough to handle constructive criticism is an absolute joke. Steve Smith is pitiful.

Still the hate for 89, I see.

Nobody ever had to criticize Smith for having a bad work ethic. He may have been criticized, but never for being a standout receiver. Jeudy needs criticism, and he's gotten it twice this week from two pretty good ex-football players, one a legend.

    • Aggressive runner, hits the hole fast, and runs angry.  Just a few yards shy of the single game record for the team.  Absolutely phenomenal performance.  If the gameplan hadn't become weirdly pass heavy for the 3rd and first half of the 4th quarters he might have been flirting with 300.
    • I felt that way before the season started, but I'm sorry, he's already proven he isn't that guy, I don't need to learn anything more about him. He threw the ball 30 times today and could only throw for 198 yards, which was his 2nd best yardage game this year, he's just not the guy. Which means this season has already moved onto the 2nd most important thing going into this season after evaluating Bryce, and that's developing our best young players. You don't do that by only throwing 8 of your 30 passes to your best player who is still only a rookie.  Pepper him with targets and help develop him so he's ready to take a huge leap next year when we get a real HC and QB to get him the ball.
    • Every win comes from a non-sustainable source.  As CRA mentioned, Penix absolutely imploding against ATL, and then today, defense finally clicked and looked the best they’ve looked in a long time (and still have up 24 points lol) and Rico ran for 200+ yards.  We’re not going to get that every week, especially against good teams, which neither Miami or ATL are.  Both MIA and ATL are bad teams and Bryce still couldn’t get it together.  The defense (and team) had to overcome 14 points because of his turnovers again.  That was not even an average QB performance.  We are winning in spite of him.
