He'll show you flashes and then poo the bed. Hard to say if he's a bust or just needs more time to develop.

People forget he was viewed as a very raw player coming into the draft. He played well as a rookie but not as good as many seem to think.

We shouldn't jump the gun with him but if he continues to struggle at tackle we need to move him inside in the offseason and sign or draft a true LT.

For the record, I was a Charles Cross fan in that draft and had him as the #1 tackle prospect specifically because he was a good pass protector.

You can have all the big "hog mollies" up front you want but if they can't protect the QB then it doesn't matter how well they are in other areas.

Having said that, Ickey would be an outstanding guard so I don't think all is lost if he doesn't turn it around and left tackle.

He’s been bad all season. But today was pretty yikes. Also 2 games in a row getting Bryce blown up on the very first play like come on.

I'm an NC State guy and big fan of Ickey but there is no way to defend this as he currently looks like the second coming of Byron Bell right now.

He only looked good because he was run blocking 70% of the snaps last year and had the edge on his heels playing the run the other 30%.

He fuging sucks at pass blocking straight up and being in the spread shows that. He didn’t regress.

Christensen might be small but he can play the LT spot till we can draft a class LT who can play the position. He can't be any worse than what we are seeing from Ickey this year. We can hope it is 2nd year growing pains and his 3rd year will be better.

I really like Ikey as a person and I highly doubt he is slumping because he isnt trying as some have said in this thread..

He just isnt built to play LT in this scheme, BC would be better at LT with Ikey at G in this scheme.  Sucks we lost him for the season.
