Chuba isn't really improved over last year. He just seems better because of how bad Sanders has been, but I haven't seen any development from Chuba. He's our best RB but the cupboard is pretty damn thin.

I disagree.  Chuba has looked much improved, particularly in hanging on to the ball both as a runner and as a receiver.

My eye test tells me a lot different.

Hell, people were talking about Chuba being one of our best offensive players yesterday.

You have to throw in Blackshear as well.

Look at our roster and tell me who Chuba being better than is an impressive feat. He could be our offensive MVP this year and it doesn't mean poo, and it definitely doesn't mean he's better than last season. He was very solid last year, decent vision and good at picking up chunk yards. Nothing has changed this year and the stats are no better, maybe even worse, than last year. He has very little flash or big play ability/ability to create yards or positive plays out of nothing, which is why he's at best a backup. I don't know why you're dying on this Duce hill right now, yeah he got a lot of hype for some of those videos coming out of Lions camp. But our RBs have not improved at all with him as RB coach.

Perfect answer. How about posting where I’m wrong? What about 2023 has he done better than 2022? If you think Staley improves our running game, please point to where Chuba is better. Not hard.

Staley's not the offensive line coach, nor is the offensive line coach the guy that decided to play a scheme who didn't fit our personnel.

    • Kon is a damn stud but it’s not any individual player’s team. All of the “big 3” are incredibly and equally important IMO. And LaMelo makes Kon way better (look at his shooting splits with LaMelo on the floor vs without. Also Moose and even Miles are important cogs. Honestly think we’re 1 piece away from being legit top contenders if the young guys continue to develop the next year or two. I trust this FO to be patient to find that piece within the next 2-3 years and not force anything. Plenty of time and even without adding anyone we have the pieces in place overall already to compete with any team.
    • We lost 2 very close and winnable games against top teams in the league while missing 3 critical players despite 2 of our top 3 players shooting unusually terribly. Still split the 4 games that Moose and Miles were suspended, winning the most important one vs the Hawks. This ain’t yo mama’s Hornets man. Hopefully Coby can go soon but even if not Moose and Miles are huge additions for our starting lineup and bench rotations. Schedule is pretty tough after these next 4 but I think we’ll take care of business the next 4 to get to .500 then finish slightly above .500 after that to get a 7 or 8 seed. Keep it rolling boys. Also Kon is having an insanely historic rookie season as a shooter. Like truly can’t believe my eyes watching this kid level of historic. Man what a fuging home run of a draft pick and exactly what this team needed to take that next step forward. He’s gonna shatter the rookie 3 point and franchise 3 point records. Has a real chance to be the 2nd best 3 point shooter ever or dare I say even get to Curry’s level (as a pure shooter, Curry obviously has way more to his game that has made him a GOAT).
    • I hear you but yeah like you say, above average. His numbers were good. You’d think it would be a no brainer. Anyhow… I guess the new staff is also fine with him walking?    I hope if we sign him there isn’t some secret issue of his that led to him not being valued.
