My question to you why are you mad at a player on the defense?

What about the sorry offensive players?

Those guys are the players who actually suck on the team. If anyone should receive hate it is them.

*FYI I think Burns is probably the only player other teams would want from our team. Just saying someone trash is another person treasure.

Is there an underperforming player on the offense who wants to get paid way over his value? Show me that player and I’ll hate him too.

I love him. Is he perfect? No.

He's still one of our best defensive players on the team. If we going to get mad at a player Burns is way down on that list of players we should be angry at.

What about this sorry Oline?

What about the toddler QB with a noodle arm?

Mingo and TMJ nowhere to be found!

Fug the offense!

Defense has been our bright spot all season, and you fans keep piling on one of the best players on the entire freaking team! Fug that im fed up with the Burns hate!

Enough is Enough!

Who is mad at him? Maybe some, but as I've said many times before calling out performance or lack thereof is not 'being mad' or 'hating'. There are also plenty of comments about the offense but those guys aren't posturing themselves as one of the best in the league, and I'm pretty sure that Bryce's play and the OL take a metric ton of flak around the fanbase (rightfully so IMO) - thus why I have also always said, and did so again here with respect to Burns, with big demands comes big expectations, big attention, and big scrutiny. Burns, like every other high-profile player, brings it on themselves when they move into the spotlight. It is what it is.

Also for the millionth time, just can it with the 'hate' business. Few, if anyone, 'hates' him. To repeat, caling out performance that doesn't match demands is not 'hate'. Pointing out flaws in objective disucssion is not 'hate'. That word specifically has been rendered meaningless by uses such as this and you won't be taken seriously popping off about 'haters'. It's just trite at this point.

That tag and trade will be much harder than people are thinking. No one will pay him 30M if the team that put his value there won’t. Then give up picks to do it.

And he won’t sign the tag without having accepted a new deal from someone. Which means he is going to have to take much less than he wants.

Montez Sweat for a 2nd and a 24M/yr deal. And he is every bit as good as Burns. Why would teams give more than that?

Ive made this argument since before the trade deadline since everyone here was arguing it made no sense to trade him then instead of just franchising him and getting two firsts (which definitely isnt going to happen, that 2 firsts trade value sailed a long time ago)

I'm getting more and more over Burns.  He does play hard, he's a good guy, fun guy, but he's not elite.  He has elite traits with speed and bend, but he's not showing up.  I don't care about the punch and ejection as much because we're all frustrated.

He's what?  25?  How many games has he completely taken over in five years?  He's sure made some impact plays - but he's not taken over many games and made life miserable for an opposing QB.  He's a good player, not a great player.  I was VERY against trading him, even for two 1s from the Rams because I was still in the hope that he would turn that corner, but he hasn't.  It sucks as a fan.

The Panthers haven't help him out.  The defense doesn't have many opportunities to pin it's ears back.  There's no bookend to take pressure off him.  But he disappears way to much.  He's better making plays in the run game, but he can still get rolled up often.

Will Burns ever deliver on a $25-30 million a year contract?  I don't know.  He doesn't look like it.  I'm not sure he's going to be a good OLB, better as a rush end.  It's going to depend on our next coach and GM what happens, but if he walks - I'm ok with it.  He might need a different situation, different coaching. Hopefully the Panthers tag and trade him to someone willing to pay Burns and maximize his value so we can continue the annual Panthers tradition of trading our best and most talented players for scraps.

Burns was a one trick pony. He could only rush the passer and couldn’t stop the run. Now he can’t do either. He literally disappears. It’s not talent. The guy is talented. It’s clearly motivation, frustration, and boiled over finally. Is this a guy you want to build around? Maybe but he really needs someone across from him like Reddick.

All players wants to get paid.

Pocket watching is sad and pathetic. I'm comfortable financially in real life. I don't have time to hate on people significantly richer then me. Either way they will be rich.

Just imagine we keep Wilks, DJ, Foreman and ride 1 more year with Darnold… and take that trade for Burns.

We would be leading the NFC south comfortably and trying to figure out how to use all of those first round picks we would still have… and our #1 receiver.. good times.

And Jalen Carter with the 2023 first round pick.

    • I have more faith in XL improving than I do in Tmac being a true number 1 recuever
    • Round 1. TMac arguably the best WR in the draft Round 2. Scour ton mentioned as a possible 1st round edge.     Texas A&M did not use him the same way Purdue did. After the 2023 season he was listed as a first round grade. I believe had Texas A&M used him like they did at Purdue he never makes it out of round 1. Round 3 Princely Umanmielen, we'll go by Princely.  Another highly graded player we got in a lower round. As the video suggests, even if he plays only on passing down it's a positive. Give him a couple of years to develop a he could be a three down player.  Round 4a Etienne IMO a huge upgrade over Blackshear. I can see him in a similar role as CMC without the heavy workload. He can run in between the tackles and has some shifty moves. Give Canales some flexibility. A fellow huddler pointed out UGA running backs don't see the field if they cannot pick up the blitz. Really good pick. Round 4b Ransom a hard hitting safety that has played three different positions on defense. Great pick Round 5a Cam Jackson a massive NT in round 5. I believe a solid rotational pick in a lower round. We added a beast that could make offenses quiver when he's lined up with Brown. Great Value  Round 5b Evans This is another player that can block and has good hands. He also had better seasons before 2024. As a rookie he's probably leaps and bounds better than Ian Thomas. I think he gives us a three headed monster at TE.  Round 6 Horn Jr. Many believe he's just going to be a KR/PR player. I believe there are going to be packages for him to get on the field as a WR. His speed with TMac and Thielen in the slot could be special. I'm really looking forward to seeing him in training camp. I've watched some film and he is very explosive.  Overall I love our picks. I honestly believe all of them will contribute this season. I don't believe we reached on one player in this draft.  This weekend we get a small look at these rookies
    • You joke, but hasn't basically the whole team been in Charlotte this past week together? I'm not one to see the random dumb stuff players put out on social media in the offseason and think it means that's ALL they've been doing and not working on their game.  But it's a little strange that all this is coming out at the same time we're seeing tons of stuff with the team in Charlotte together, even if it's just working out and not even official team OTA's or anything. So he gets a pass from me saying anything now, but if he doesn't show clear improvement this season, it then opens him up to some retroactive criticism for some things.
