Panthers releasing Justin Houston… what a great signing

The Houston FA signing is another example of Fitts' trash decisions, but it also leads to one of Fitterer's biggest mistakes....not making Reddick part of the plans.

I get Reddick wanted to go back home, but we were building something here and I think if the team showed more of an interest from the jump and genuinly wanted him back, he stays. We helped wipe the stank off his AZ days, played to his strengths, and he thrived here.

Much like many of Fitts' moves, his make-up moves are bad....but the initial root of "why" he's needing to make that move, is usually worse (signing Baker after Darnold, after Bridgewater.....trading DJ and then pining for how awful our WR core is).

Way too many of these.

We were trying to trade for Watson so the money was tied up to potentially go to him.

I'm putting more blame on Tepper for no Reddick than anyone since he wanted so badly to trade for the sexual deviant.

our owner seems convinced that regardless of the roster we're just a QB away...

Justin Houston was an underwhelming signing at the time. We clearly needed and were going to sign another EDGE. At the time there were 3 options Houston, Leonard Floyd, Jadeveon Clowney

Floyd signed with Bills and has 27 tackles and 10.5 sacks

Clowney signed with Ravens and has 20 tackles and 7.5 sacks

He really had nothing left in the tank, unlike Theilen. Sad because I loved him in his prime.

i think this was a fine signing. You need an older guy who just like knows how to get ready during the week.

Dude absolutely checked out when he worked out how bad the team was.

i mean yeah probably. He doesn't need to put any tape out or anything. And good for him to be honest

fug over tepper. Screw him. Get money. Defense is not the problem this season.

    • Absolutely … watching from Colorado, man oh man it makes my heart warm knowing how much our Panthers are loved and supported back home these days. This season was a massive step in the right direction after everything since Tepper took over.   But say all you want about Tepper, but let’s be honest , he has turned a corner and has truly embraced the Panthers history and culture more so recently , and we saw it on full display in Charlotte Saturday. I’m truly so damn proud of our Panthers …. Time to buy that DB #95 jersey… love this team and our fans so damn much. Been a fan since Day 1 when I was a kid in Charlotte and to see how far we’ve come and to have faith in where we’re going in the future truly brings a smile to my face.   In a world currently full of despair and pessimism, thank you to the 2025 Carolina Panthers for giving us hope once again. Time to let Dan Morgan cook… KEEP POUNDING 🖤💙🖤💙🖤💙
    • It's been one hell of a ride this season. It's been a long time since I've enjoyed football for an entire season. There are still a lot of things that frustrate me about this team, but they somehow made it work and put together something pretty impressive. I'm still worried about us being stuck in mediocrity, but hell, that's a lot better than where we've been.    Also, hats off to the fans! What an impressive showing last night. That was the most wild it's been since the 2015 NFC Championship. The place was absolutely rocking! The fans showed up! This is one of the things that has been missing for so long. Despite the loss, I had a blast last night.
