First and foremost I am so happy for him, guy was trashed and torched and is the Geno Smith story of this year

But how did we get it sooooooo wrong and TB got it sooooooo right

He had DJ Moore here and CMC

He has Mike Evans and White there

Was it bad OC, was it Rhule, was it we're cursed?

I don't think Baker ever wanted to be here honestly. We were the job he had to settle on that offseason.

this is why I don't support him.  He came here because he was forced here, and didn't give anything close to his all.  Scheme did suck, they refused to get him out of the pocket so his passes could stop getting batted down, but there was a lot of him just flat out not giving a fug.

That’s the impression I got from a lot of guys playing for Rhule. It was a “Is this sh!t for real?/lol” Attitude from a lot of the players.

Because Carolina never has 1 problem.  We have tons of problems and we smash them all  together.

thats why DJ is having a career year away from here

thars why CMC is having a MVP caliber year away from here

that’s why Baker is going to the 2nd round of the post season

that’s why Joe Brady his going to the 2nd round of the post season

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
