New Kickoff Rule

Sorry if this was already posted but I didn’t see anything related to it. It seems it’s a potential change and not voted on yet? Though Schefter seems convinced it’ll be a thing. 
 

I like it if for nothing else it’ll probably cause more turnover chaos.

How are onside kicks supposed to work with this arrangement? Also why would they only allow onside kicks in the 4th quarter?

I'd rather them just get rid of it and the ball get spotted at the 20, than this. This sucks.

No surprise onside kicks and limiting them to the fourth quarter is dumb.

Not that we’ve ever benefited from it but some teams have flipped the game before by dribbling the second half kick-off ten yards down the field then recovering the ball.

I don't see how anyone is complaining, it actually puts more action in the game instead of the horrible TD, XP, Commercial, return to watch a touchback, commercial, resume play that takes 10-15 real world minutes before anything worthwhile happens sometimes.

It's different, people fear change, but it keeps kickoffs in the game, making them safer without neutering them and making them pointless.

Sure it's a bit convoluted, but so are damn near all the rules in this fuging sport so whatever.

Im generally in favor of anything that increases player safety but this is just flat out stupid.

 

Just do away with the kickoff all together

They will eventually swap onside kicks with a "4th and 20" scenario or something. I think that was brought up this year but it got rejected.

Soo,  new kick off rules, and tackling is now illegal (the hip drop). 

Not even sure why special teams still exists at this point.  They're on their way to eliminating defenses all together.  

 

Not sure how much long I'll continue to give a damn about the NFL at all.

The Panthers sucking so bad is at least making it easier to just say fug it.
