MAJOR HOLDOUT UPDATE………

I get wanting a new contract but that is a dumb way of doing it...unless he just wants to get out of town. I would love to hear his agent's take on this master plan. New staff so hold out while others get a shot at your spot? Maybe go to OTAs and spend some time with the new people and then try and put their feet to the fire to get a new deal before preseason? Naw lol

Honestly.

When Pinero chocked  twice during the Falcons game, he was dead to me

no loss

panthers can do better

he missed 1 FG under 50 all season last year.

he missed 2 FG under 50 the year prior

and made most of his 50+ both seasons

I think Pinero is just wanting off the worst team in the NFL.   Competitive teams are looking for a reliable kicker.  Seems like he is just playing that card.

I don't really care TBH. Dude blew the game in ATL. If I remember right he missed a FG and XP to win the game. Yeah he has been accurate but the dude really hasn't had any other pressure situations. He made the two FGs to win this year that were shorter than XPs and the one in NO in 22 that was a useless game.

He's a decent kicker but not proven enough to be acting like this. I'd like to see him get cut just to get a point across in the locker room. You have a fugging unproven kicker taunting you and holding out.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
