Bryce is a perfect example of a QB who was surrounded by elite talent in college and he fooled the world into thinking he was the #1 pick.

That video from training camp this year will always stick out to me. I didn't say anything at the time because I was trying to be positive. He had on a red shirt with his backpack. It legit looked like someone's kid who was walking alone for the 1st day of school.

This kid just isn't cut to be a NFL QB.

The criticism of Stroud was that he was throwing to guys open by 5 yards i.e. surrounded by elite talent.  Just like Bryce.  We had an owner, GM, and many others who somehow couldn't figure out who's who.

I feel like it was the owner and Gm who overrode everyone else. Fitt fed him some Wuss wilson bullshit and Tepper fell for it.

Not sure, I mean, it’s pretty obvious isn’t it?

If he makes a turnaround, it would be the greatest turnaround I have ever seen in this sport.

No turnaround happening. As a old coach once said "It is what it is"

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
