Not sure why you're saying we gave Pittsburgh a 5th, we gave them a 6th, pick #178 to be exact which they used to draft Logan Lee.  I don't need mental gymnastics, picks don't cancel each other out, they become real people.  Michael Jackson is a real person on this roster.

What we gave is: Donte Jackson, 2024 #178 (became Logan Lee), Diontae Johnson, 2025 6th and 9.3 million dollars.

What we received is: 2024 #240 -> Michael Barrett -> Michael Jackson, 2025 5th, and 7 games played by Diontae Johnson as a Panther.

You’re right. The article I read said a 5th. It was the first pick in the 6th so basically the same as the 5th we’ll get from Baltimore.

heck, I'd rather Morgan of just cut him and called him a toxic bum on his way out.   Screw him right back if he was being problematic at his redemption stop.  Screw trading him for for that.

I didn't expect much.  But a pick swap? Morgan couldn't even negotiate a 6th on it's own?

Reminds of that clip of Morgan trying to trade Burns that was caught on camera.  If that's his sales technique....he should hire someone to do it for him.

trade him to the pats or titans just to say eff you

I just saw the comments on the Ravens board and they are basically laughing at us for paying most of his salary lmao

We are that team that everyone just laughs at apparently. One guys said "the Panthers always hooks us up" smh

Yeah that is bad. Looks like we bought a 5th round draft pick with our cap space, that's about it.

I do like completely's idea of a send him to Siberia type of deal.

Why would you expect much more for a half season rental?

Ravens fan aren't in love with it. They wanted defense and say they got WR depth instead.

Yeah for real, it’s not that they can’t Score they are having issues stopping others from scoring.

This is just a meh move on their end. Plus so what if we are paying him still this year. He costs nothing going forward..

Pretty sure it’s mostly his signing bonus. Looks like we saved $4 million trading him off.

    • Cooter, Kurb, others have passed on to glory….  Praise be.
    • Oh good for them! Hope this is the start of a long happy time in their lives here.
    • There was no reason to believe in either Cam or Jake as a top tier elite QB before those seasons either. Cam was an "athletic" QB in most people's minds and his passing skills were open for debate. And there was a bit to that as he was still trying to get that massive power in his arm tamed to be able to put some touch on his passes. And then, he did it. Missiles became bombs, the firing lanes became points of finesse. Cam grew up and leveled up, while still retaining the ability and drive to truck people whenever he wanted. And Jake... no one freaking believed in Jake except Jake himself. He got, and let's be honest with this, one chance in a losing game to make something out of his career. And he rose to the occasion like some kind of mythical hero and continued to do so for the season. He became a true leader for the team, and his gunslinger capabilities rehabbed Moose's career and created Smitty as a force in the league. Smitty went from a barker to a biter. But no one believed in Jake going in. And they trashed him on his way out. Now Bryce... who knows? I've seen some improvement. Maybe he finds his footing. His teammates seem to love and respect him and that means a lot. The game should be moving at his speed now. He has weapons available to him and maybe a defense that doesn't just roll over by the third quarter. And his coach seems to be moving this team in the right direction. Could he do it? It's up to him, if he can find the magic like Jake and Cam did. But don't doubt this, magic is really, really hard to find.
