Bryce is still the future

The wildcard is Tepper. Only Young can determine his future of course but he's got to play a lot better than he did yesterday and consistently to guarantee himself a job here. Do you see that happening? I sure as hell don't.

No, and while he did play better Sunday (some throws were excellent), it was against a garbage team and garbage defense that were missing three DBs if I’m not mistaken. He still didn’t even put up that great of numbers. The Giants aren’t much better than NO so I’m assuming he will do about the same against them, it will be after the bye that will be the true test.

Kyle Allen would have done more in that specific game yesterday

I disagree, on the grounds that Allen would've gotten more yards but also more turnovers. Toward the end of his tenure here I called him a good punter; he'll move the ball 50-60 yards before it goes to the other team.

Canales fixed Bryce by getting Dalton down to his level.

Dalton's QBR is the highest it has been since 2019.  I remember some of us telling people that Dalton's game against Seattle wasn't special and wasn't the norm.  He is what he has been for half a decade now...

BY should have been picked probably twice lol. As this is an entertainment business I would also take more yards and turnovers if the net result is still a win. Playing it safe is not fun to watch

We actually do. The huddle never learns. A terrible QB suddenly has a good drive/game and suddenly we should sign him to a big contract or keep him the following year. Then next year happens and we are back to where we were the previous year.

Who said we have to trade him when he isn't tradable. We can still grab a QB or take another piece we need more. I don't see us winning more than one more game with our defense as poor as it is.

Panthers' Bryce Young took a significant step forward in Week 9

Bryce Young is back as the Carolina Panthers‘ starting quarterback, and he is fresh off his best performance of the season. It was an encouraging showing — one that resulted in only the Panthers' second win — for a young quarterback who was previously benched.

Highest-Graded Quarterbacks in Week 9
Young finished Week 9 against the New Orleans Saints with a 77.8 PFF overall grade, his highest grade this season and the third-highest of his career. His stat line doesn’t look overly impressive, but a major reason for that is his two big-time throws being dropped and intercepted — two unlucky plays that would have made his box score better reflect his performance.

There’s no hiding that the Panthers' offense has struggled with Young under center. The 2023 No. 1 overall pick looked lost and broken in his first two starts of 2024, but after five weeks as a backup, he seems to have found his confidence again, putting together his two best performances of the season since returning to helm the offense.

It took until the second quarter for the Panthers' offense to get going in Week 9, but a big third-down conversion led to their first touchdown of the game.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
