Does Bryce deserve another start?

Going to ignore the stupid thread that proclaims Bryce the future.

Just like I indicated last week, he took a step in the right direction and continues to build confidence. He still is inconsistent and the offense stalls at times but today he showed he can operate the offense and make some tough throws under pressure.

Canales was not ready to proclaim him the starter next week but I think you have to keep him in and have him build on his last two games.  What say you?

Keep starting him until he starts to suck.  Then bench him immediately before he can tank his trade value.  The past two weeks he probably has increased his trade value by two rounds.

No, we need to trade him immediately while teams still want him and maybe will give up a little more because he didn't look entirely lost out there.

There's no circumstance where he turns into a franchise QB, just get what we can and move on from this abysmal trade and subsequent draft pick.

Just play him. We aren't going anywhere this season. Dalton isn't the future at his age. Just play the guy you mortgaged the franchise on and let him sink or swim.

The only answer.

Hopefully he doesn't get the WR's injured with those hospital balls along the way.

Best case scenario is we use this decent game to hustle some other team out of a higher pick than we would have gotten for him before today. But if we don’t trade him, then yea. See if we can get more decent games out of him to boost the trade value as much as possible. Maybe strategically start Andy in games against good defenses and Bryce against bad defenses.

    • Actually we like to run more than most, and the dropoff isn't that drastic. We seem to be pretty much middle of the road. The Facons, Bucs, Browns and Bengals are the ones where running drops off markedly when they start trailing. Our line on the chart, like I said, is somewhat middle of the road.  As to whether or not if it's good or bad is anyone's guess by looking at this. I suspect people who like Old school football won't be upset at this at all. The thing is, we would have to know the game scripts and the situations, as running and or passing making sense is contextual. I know that I haven't necessarily been enamored with Canales's situational play calling. At the end of the day, I believe in using the run to set up the pass and the pass to set up the run, and trying to keep the opposition off balance, but I still believe that you should run it down their throats if they can't stop it.
    • Hey alright baseball is awesome.  I cheer for the Braves but I watch all 30 teams.  I pay for MLB TV and both local teams because I'm insane.🙃
    • Because he's from Charlotte, grew up a Panthers fan, and could still make amazing money as an elite LG for his hometown team. And while I think he's a quality starting LT, he's not a Top 5 type of player either.  If he could prove to be a true elite LG, the money might not be that different than what he could make as a LT anyways. I'm not saying he will, but I don't think it's out of the realm of possibilities.
