I'm of the opinion that he's been showing it the last three weeks. The two weeks prior to KC weren't statistically great but anyone with eyes could see the improvement.

I respect your opinion (which is a very positive one, so good for you), but in my mind this was his first good game. I would even say a very good game. The previous two games were less bad than before, but not good compared to the average QB. The bar has been so incredibly low, so any improvement is somehow considered “a good game”.

But again, yesterday was very good, and hopefully he can have more of those.

With the game on the line over two drives, Bruce threw it away on a must make third down, threw a couple bailout DPIs, and completed clutch handoffs.

finally reached the elusive 7 ypa threshold

Throwing it away is better than throwing an int in that situation. The Chiefs players had to interfere on those passes for a reason. They were on the money and all would've been completions otherwise. Go touch some grass buddy

The two pointer yeah, but the Thielen in the EZ that moved it to 1st and goal, if that defender had looked for the ball he was in position to get it. He didn't turn around. Which a lot of times they don't.

This was also the first game when BY had more velocity on his throws, I seen a little mustard...

Plus the look of the ball was dang near perfect- balance, spin, height, angle, etc on some throws for the first time.

That needs to be stated as well with this being his best game in 2 years.

If he doesn't run into Thielen, he catches it for a touchdown. Thielen was in better position than the corner. We don't know who wins the jump ball there.

Seriously though, he's certainly been good since he got the starting job back.

I'm still not ready to anoint him as "the future" but he's proven he deserves a little... reconsideration 😕

One smart move that Dan Morgan and Canales did was realize the offensive line needed to be addressed. As Bryce gets more confidence in his protection we should be able to see the true Bryce, good or bad. I am excited about Canales. I truly believe Dan Morgan and Canales have the Panthers trending up.

And that's what it was from the start. Canales wanted bryce to prove it undoubtedly that he is the starter with his work and play. Up to this point you couldn't honestly say he was the best qb on the roster.  And that goes back to last year.

Until the last few games, you could honestly say he was the worst qb on the roster.

I am still not sure he is the "guy" but I am a little encouraged by the last few weeks, essentially since the second half of the Denver game.

The "I like what I saw yesterday but want to see more" takes are all very reasonable and quite frankly I'm impressed with how balanced the huddle has been after yesterdays game.

Benching 9 and making him earn it back was a great move by the org.  There are no kings, no anointed ones, just compete for you job on a daily basis and let it rip on Sundays.  lfg.

How did he earn it back? Dalton got in a car accident and couldn't play.

Until the last few games he was probably the worse qb on any roster in the nfl.  He has played much better.  Lots of games left but at this moment if I were GM I would still be drafting best qb available.

    • I honestly just don’t think Canales was ready to handle all that goes into being a HC plus play calling (something he was still new to and not great at yet). Idzik will be brand new to it but that’s one of the main things he can focus on plus having a seasoned vet like Bevell should go a long way if they listen to him.  I think a big issue with Bryce will be the locker room seems to have really bought into him. However he plays he seems to have a good head on his shoulder and does well in a leadership role. If they do decide to replace him it will be an interesting thing for them to navigate. I’d assume most players know it’s just business and want to win above everything else.
    • Idk man…  this feels very targeted and measured.  I think one of them pissed someone off connected to some powerful media types and the person they pissed off had been sitting on this trove of evidence for awhile.  Now they start to leak it in intervals where everytime it seems it has lost steam - BAM!  Right back on the front page.  My instinct would say it was Russini, but she’s already been fired.  So, I think it’s someone who has an issue with Vrabel.  Whoever took those pics knew it was Vrabel, and even if they knew it wasn’t Russini, they knew it wasn’t Vrabel’s fault wife, and yet, they sat in them for 5 years?  And to go a step further, that last observation is a bit naive, because there are even people coming out now that are saying they knew Russini was sleeping with multiple coaches before all of this broke, so they knew.  I think this is about Vrabel. hmmm…  I wonder if this is Glazer bucking bc they set up that competing pool party?
