If Dan Morgan is stupid enough to believe that he deserves to get fired next season.

However, we really should go best player either way since we lack so much talent.

Dan will be our GM for a long time.  Every move hasn't been perfect but he started with very little and has the team on the path of relevance in 1 or 2 more seasons.

I don't think its about where in the draft you take a qb. But you need to make sure you bring in competition period next year for Bryce. If Morgan cares anything about his job security why would he not do this??

Agree. I have never believed in the “end the season strong and it will carry over to the next” scenario.
I believe that each season is separated because a lot of these players will not be back next season.
So Bryce could continue to play better through the rest of the year, but then he could suck next season. That is why I am with you in bringing in actual competition.
That said I think a lot of his bad play was the PTSD of having such a bad line last season and even though this current line is so much better Bryce still did not trust them.
What we are seeing now is a Bryce that finally trusts his line to protect him and he is playing better.

Mason Graham is purely a run defender

I understand our run defense is literally non existent but to spend a top 10 pick on that… nah

Not a "sexy" pick, but he would improve every level of our defense. Obviously the run defense up front, keeping blockers off our linebackers, and allowing more penetration from Brown. It literally is a win-win-win situation.

    • What?!?!?! Chark's 1,000 yard season was 4 years before he played for us and he only had 525 yards in 15 games as our #1 WR.  Dude has 3,100 yards in 7 seasons, he's the literal definition of a JAG and you think he is better than half our current WR room? T-Mac is literally already better than Chark was at his peak, which again, was years before he ever even put on a Panthers uniform, and there is a real argument to be made that XL and Coker were both better as rookies than Chark was for us in his one season here.
    • Im glad we're starting low. It's nonsensical to put us at 28 IMHO based on objective things IMHO (I think 21-24) is far more appropriate but whatever. Washington was at the bottom last year FWIW.  In 2003, Sports Illustrated said our best chance to win the division was to transfer to the ACC. In 2015, everyone wrote us off as a team that snuck into the playoffs with a losing record in 2014 and lost our best WR in TC (Kelvin Benjamin). All these videos are fodder for conversation, but this prediction has no more validity than saying the Panthers are making the SB bc we're starting the season against the Jaguars again. If Bryce plays like he did down the stretch we will end up the season just fine. This roster is much better than it has been the last 2 seasons. No one knows who any season will ultimately end up, but this team is finally being built in the right way, and the idea that this roster can't compete this year is as insane as being it was when we were gaslit in 2023 that we were a rookie QB from winning the division with that roster.
