Cam probably has CTE, hes most of the time acting like an arrogant clown. The way he acts youd think he spent most of his career winning yet he had 3 winning seasons in his entire career. Honestly sick of the clown at this point.

Cam addresses being called out by 89 for his talk.

Cam calls people sensitive to the realities.  He said he wasn't specifically talking about say Jonathan Stewart or 89 in a vacuum  but the overall culture/vibe as he arrived.  He then included the 2011 team as having a losing culture/mentality which included him on the roster.  Needing to weed out the players who make you weak.  You are what your record is.  Bad teams select #1 overall.

The video is basically 1hr and 47 mins long. I mean really?

Look I've been a massive Cam homer in my day. I'll still defend him tooth and nail against knuckle draggers that make ridiculous accusations over "the fumble" or just in general trying to diminish him and what he meant to the team in his prime. But this is not that Cam.  This is post career Cam. This is a guy who is clearly desperate to retain the limelight. I don't think it's a good look and it's starting to get cringe IMO. I don't see any difference between him and any other controversy huckster on social media. That's all there is to it.

Cam was a great player and I enjoyed watching him play and for what he did for the city of Charlotte.  However, I've always cringed when he speaks and I really cringe these days.  Everything is about him and he has always seemed fake to me and turns it on when the cameras are on.

Didn't see you posted it.

He's getting a bit annoying at this point.

Why am I the only one who understood this the first time?

Because people really dislike Cam Newton. Even when he was here doing all he did in Carolina, people really had serious deep seeded issues that had nothing to do with his play. It has just carried over and now they are using this as a chance to validate their point of view.

Calling Cam desperate to stay relevant is insane. His show is huge, and ESPN has now anchored themselves to him, which means he is going nowhere for the foreseeable future. He was just trying to illustrate to a high draft pick that you aren't going to go to an immediate contender. Teams have a high draft pick for a certain reason. Surprise Steve Smith Sr. was mad and took it personal. Has he ever not taken anything as a super slight against him? The guy was about to fight Jerry Jeudy a few years ago while he was supposed to be doing pregame. He beat up two teammates, one for asking the position coach to review a play again! But what trumps Smitty's behavior, attitude issues, everyone's hate for Cam. Four players, four had something to say, but Stew, Thomas Davis, and others said nothing. The man was trying to put the kid up on game and these guys got in their feelings. It happens and will continue to happen as the athletes are telling us from their mouths how they feel on their platforms.

Cam just keep digging the hole. He should have just said he misspoke and that he knows there were plenty of winners on that team.  I mean Smitty himself was largely responsible for 2-3 greatest seasons we had in our history.   I'm really disappointed with his lack of emotional intelligence, he has no business being on TV making a fool of himself.

Well stated--and it is not really Cam's fault.  Go back to middle school--the coach probably just put Cam at QB and told him to run with it.  In high school, he was praised and put on a pedestal.  At the age of about 16, when everyone tells you how great you are, when you can do no wrong, when success comes naturally to you--it is difficult to develop emotional quotient.  Football is not just a small part of what you do, it is all of who you are.  There are few healthy relationships, even in the family.  Remember when his dad was negotiating for illegal payments from SEC schools?  Nobody tells you the truth, and everyone likes you for what you are and not who you are.  You are the best athlete in the room, on the field, in the league--no matter where you go.  And suddenly, you are injured and the band stops playing.  People push you aside for the next flavor of the month.  Your life, as you have always known it, is over and you can't control it any longer.  All athletes go through this to some degree, but without a support system, it is difficult to maintain.  Who does Cam choose to father his children?  How does he start dressing?  Cam is struggling to reinvent himself in a world in which he might be the "loser."  Maybe that explains his confusion and bitterness.  Inside, Cam is a good person and I don't think he is fake, based on watching him practice.  He is just unique, and that makes some aspects of his life different.  And he has to be narcissistic and lack empathy---most top athletes are and they have to eliminate empathy to compete.  He is transitioning.  I am not defending him--just trying to understand it in a way that does not attack something we all created.

    • Not in same league. Caldwell just hit a 10.00 on the RAS. 2nd out of 3830 from 1987 onward.  https://x.com/MathBomb/status/2027885023387349047 Yeah I mean Louis had a sub 9.00 RAS. Still very very good, no doubt. Louis is small, no 2 ways about it. He is likely a sub package lb in nickel packages or specialized WLB. Be fine ST gunner to start for sure. 6 foot flat and 220lb is pushing it for a starting LB. At 10 to 20lbs less than the other LBs he'd better be closer to the top in most timed drills. He's gonna be challenged when some of the wrs in the class can matchup bigger stronger faster, much less TE in the run game.  Yeah instinct matter and he has them, but that size is a massive red flag compared to many of the other LBS in this class.    Rodriguez is the LB that really climbed this week from a pure grit guy to great flash with athleticism people wrote off cause he was a QB at first at UVA. 18.4mph in the backpedal. Production the last 2 years were great. I'd be thrilled with him as the future mike.   Hill likely moved out of 51 and into the top 45 picks ( Ravens at 45 I can't imagine don't bite if he makes it there). Honestly Hill imo is a 1st rounder and I'd be ok with him as he fits the MLB we have missed the last few years. People would crow it's a reach but he's top 30 all-time I'm RAS for a LB at 9.9+ . Plus he was big time in big games when he was healthy. And that br a big check: meds.
    • Miller, Melo, Coby, Moose, and Bridges all on the floor at the same time must be a nightmare for defenses lol. Switch one out for Kon and still a nightmare. Coby really does bring a true 6th man value and looks like he could start if Melo was out after only a few games of getting his feet wet.
    • Well I guess he should stop playing football. This was his defining moment and chance to prove he was generational and he failed. What a waste of football life..
