I don’t understand what Pittsburgh is doing this offseason at all.

Pickens is talented but they're just tired of putting up with his bullshit. Nothing like having your WR engaging in an MMA fight with a DB on the football field as the ball falls to the turf no one involved having noticed it had been thrown. LOL

Tomlins track record with wide receivers is bar none.  If he is done with you that is a sign.

yeah...if the steelers don't want him, you don't want him. they might be talented, but they are a headcase and will be more trouble than their worth.

what's more impressive is the cowboys track record with receivers in trades. it's crazy just how consistent they are with the WRs they trade for.

Is it if tomlin is done with you you're done or is it tomlin has a track record of letting talented wr's get out of control to the point of no return. I don't know if it's a positive about him with ALL these guys having issues and getting what he can while he can or if it's an indictment on him that he allows them to get so bad that they aren't salvageable by the time Pittsburgh discards them.

Pickens is a head case. If Tomlin has a hard time keeping you from looking like an idiot, odds are nobody can.

Steelers are all in for QB next year - this gives them more draft picks to trade up to #1 for

Steelers know they can't win a super bowl. They are reloading. Very smart, goal oriented franchise. 2nd isn't good enough in title town.

That hasn't been the Steelers way. They just keep being above .500 while not being able to draft a QB and they won't do a mega deal it takes to get in position to draft a QB either. They have tried the duds that fall to them and are available to them in free agency but that's it. They don't reload either, just stay above .500 while not being close to contenders. It's crazy they can't lure a half decent QB in free agency because they are set up to win but nothing. This year they even took a swing at a toxic and washed Rogers. They just don't reload because it goes agaisnt what keeps them above .500 for so many years now. If they did then they would have to get rid of a lot more than an idiot WR to get into a position for a top QB next year. Wilson stank last year and they still won 10 games lol.

    • Basically agree.  He is the one of that bunch that offers upgraded pass catching along with he is supposed to be kind of special.   Then you have the OL and the ideas that if they perform you can have JAG backs and still do well. So okay we could be fine.  But Brooks is important and to me that receiving element sets him apart.  So there sure is something riding on him.     What strikes me as incongruent is people over in Atlanta or those that follow them look at Penix with a third surgery and act like it is no big deal.      And we are on pins and needles over Brooks.  Either they should worry a lot more or we should worry a lot less.
    • I usually go a game or two optimist over the consensus here but this is too early for me to say. I need to see some players on the field.  I am not feeling real optimistic though.
    • Okay as a ‘take CJ’ fan I actually don’t obsess over CJ and Houston, contrary to the narrative.  But I thought I picked up some noise that his OL left a lot to be desired.    Not a single Beyce supporter would judge him harshly if he had a crappy OL. We all know that.    So be fair about it.  A QB needs to be protected.  Especially a guy that gets to his spot and wants to finish the play from there. Which CJ is.
