We don’t need him this year. Put him on IR for the year and let him study behind Theilen and Renfrow. Next year, he may have a legit shot at playing time.

For a hamstring?

You do realize only the Carolina Panthers value washed up receivers like Thielen and Renfrow the way we do right? Other teams are getting results out of younger receivers because they actually know how to develop young talent. That's what we need to be focused on.

For a roster spot. I could see our WR room consisting of TMac, Theilen, XL, Coker, and Renfrow. Theilen earned his playing time last year. Unless he’s regressed a lot this offseason, I expect he’ll be targeted 5+ times per game early this season.

I'm genuinely not trying to be abrasive here but I think it is really important not to overstate Adam Thielen's significance to this offense and I get the sense some people are in a bit of a bubble in terms of their perception of his value because they are wearing Panthers shades. And that's fine mind you because it's June. But we should be realistic about some things here. He was the oldest active WR in the league last year and he will be 35 when preseason rolls around this year. We have some nice youth on the roster. We aren't likely to compete for playoffs this year barring a very nice surprise. Either way. Let's develop the young talent. It isn't about this season it's about the next several.

Horn aint going to lose a job.  Dan and Canales love his passion and mentality. He may get put on ir at some point if he dont heal fast enough but no way they straight cut a dude with his upside. Especially  knowing Adam could be playing his last year and I love Renfrow but he is older  and had an injury history  last he played. If anything, this may help 1 of the undrafted guys this year and going forward.

    • Yes, first drive was a good run, a sack and a 3/13 Bryce threw for 9.  Then we punted. 2nd drive - 23 yard deep pass to XL (who caught it) - Great pass by Bryce and good catch by XL 26 yard Chuba run - Great run by Chuba 3 yard Chuba run - moving the sticks 6 yard pass to XL (who caught it again) - moving the stick 26 yard run by Chuba - love a balanced attack!!! great run 1 yard run from Chuba - moving the sticks Incomplete pass by Bryce.  5 yard TD pass from Bryce. - Good job by Bryce in the red zone. This was a very good series early in the game where Bryce, Chuba and the team played very well. No turnovers by Bryce.  Chuba had a fumble in the 3rd. Next series: 4 yard run 24 yard pass 15 yard run 8 yard pass 1 yard run 2 yard run 3 yard pass 4 yard run 5 yard penalty Field goal good.   Bryce did not have a very good 2nd half but not horrible either.  He didn't make any mistakes that cost us the game.  He had a 24 yard scramble and a TD pass to Moore called back because because of an illegal formation. That was and is positive progress so soon after he was benched.  All around good team win and while Bryce didn't ball out he had a number of good throws and scrambles and didn't turn the ball over.
    • The defense doesn’t even matter, really.  When we are down 3 scores before anyone has taken their first sip of Gatorade because the offense won’t stay in the field, what does any of it matter?
