fug this team. Our season is over. I hate this owner!! The coach is lazy. The GM been hit on the head too many times!!! Arhhhhhhhh!!!

You are contradicting your reason for playing starters/key players.  I think they should play, but in my opinion, playing a series or two keeps people from getting loose and into the flow of the game.  People may try to do too much--I dunno--but if there is no benefit, as you say, why risk it?
