i like Bryce and I like Canales. Neither of them deserve another year here. Bryce is a game manager and if you loosen the leash on him and make stupid calls like play action and 2nd and 2, instead of being a smart coach and running the ball again, you get what you deserve -- and that's Bryce making a poor decision and turning the ball over. Running an offense like he's going to carry you again will lead to Bryce Young, 2026 Steelers backup QB, and Dave Canales, 2026 Seahawks Offensive Consultant.

They are both pretty basic. One is just too limited in the NFL.

Our defense isnt good enough for turnovers deep in our own territory.  That TD was Bryces fault too

....I agree? lol didn't say it wasn't I'm talking about getting gashed up the middle of the field for 10 yards if the defensive line doesn't immediately make the tackle

The wildest thing about Bryce to me is that he really was the near consensus #1 QB available that year and I went back and watched a LOT of gameplay and came back saying "HOW?!" I'm watching receivers getting wide ass open and Bryce floating wounded ducks down the field and I'm like what is everyone seeing in this QB that I'm missing because I'm not seeing anything here that will translate to the NFL.

Then you go watch CJ Stroud slice through an HISTORICALLY good Georgia defense and it should have been an obvious pick. Even if you ranked them 1a and 1b, you go with the bigger QB with the NFL size. That pick will always baffle me. Tepper no doubt in my mind drove that Bryce pick

Anyone else just feel deflated right now?

LBs look terrible, Bryce is still making very very bad mistakes, I just forsee this being another lost season.

Hope I'm just being overly pessimistic

Nope. Never thought Bryce was the QB of the future and Evero sucks as well. Didnt watch last season, not watching this season or again until this organization proves they arent dumb AF. Wont be surprised Canales is gone at the end of the year either depending how terrible the season ends.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
