Don't understand how anyone can blame XL for this interception.  Just plain copium

From that view, XL is getting depth--if he doesn't drift deeper by a yard or two, if he closes down the route a yard or two, does the ball get picked? Secondly, he is floating--not sprinting--I do not give 100% of the blame to him, but my college coach would have ripped me a new ass in the film room on Sunday night if I did that---

As for the pass?  If he throws it around XL's knees it is not picked--it was telegraphed to an extend and XL was drifting deeper and not sprinting.  Ugly, really

He hired the duds and someone wanted Evero back after last year proving he shouldn't be a DC. Im not sure that's stepping back as much as doing the same crap in a different way. Even the consultants only had 1/3 of the vote and they ended up with the guy in house anyways after disastrous production.

Yeah I agree but as quick as Tepper has been to fire makes me think DC or DM made the vouch.

The good news is our running game is on point. Chuba doing his thing. The worst part of that INT was Bryce just not recognizing he shouldn't throw it and just SCRAMBLE for the yards. I want desperately to be encouraged by late last season, but Bryce just CANNOT begin the season with plays like that.

    • I didn't think the Rams game was a stellar performance. Like I said it was a good performance, but not one I would put in front of 31 other starting QBs and tell them that's the pinnacle of NFL QB performance.  He was responsible for  2 TDs in truth,  but he gets credit for 3. The screen to Chuba was all Chuba after the catch.  He looked stellar in Atl, he looked good against the Rams. Different swagger, different feel, different command of the offense. Good performance, not a stellar one, IMO.
    • I'll rehash / summarize the breakdown I gave earlier. McMillan vs Olave: probably a push (could become an advantage as soon as next season, but not just yet) Legette vs Pretty Much Anybody: Yeah, that's a loss, arguably a big one. Jalen Coker vs Dante Pettis: Probably a push if I'm being objective. I'd take Coker but I can't say people outside the Panthers fanbase would. Our TE by Committee vs Juwan Johnson: Another loss Hubbard or Dowdle individually vs Kamara: Again, probably a push if I'm objective. Kamara might not be as durable as he used to but our guys are younger and neither of them made it through a full season healthy this year either. Hubbard / Dowdle as a combo vs Kamara and his backup: This could be an advantage (would be our first if it were) but only if Dowdle were at full strength and I don't think he is yet. Whoever's Playing Center This Week vs Fortner: Yeah, loss. Puts us down by three at this point. Our Left Side (Lewis, Ickey) vs Their Left Side (Radunz, Banks): This is the first comparison where I feel confused giving us the advantage, but it's not a blowout win, and not enough to put us ahead, especially when you move to...  Our Right Side (Moton, Corbett?) vs Their Right Side (Ruiz, Fuaga): At full strength, we win. Sadly we're not at full strength and haven't been all year. So again, loss.i FINAL SCORE: - 1 win - 4 losses - 3 even We lose by three. If you disagree on these, show me where and why.
