I don’t understand this mindset, that’s just not how it works. At least with a rookie QB. Those changes take time. Much more than a year.

And if you’re hoping for a worthwhile vet QB…that wants to play here and doesn’t decline like the others I’m not sure who that’ll be.

You can point fingers are whatever you want, but calling a run on 3rd and 15 is not the move in my opinion no matter who your QB is.  You don't just give up.

The current QB can’t complete downfield passes. He can’t see the field , he has no arm strength. He limits everything the offense can do.

Canales can’t do much with the current QB

We want change? Change the QB situation , draft the next guy in the spring   because Bryce ain’t it

That in and of itself another problem... we have to trust them to evaluate the talent and pick the right guy.... you ain't getting there reaching in the first round on a 4th rounder and draft a player straight to IR...wtf. What kind of mentality is that.

Pointless to fire the HC until we fire the QB.  Or do both.  You can’t handicap a 3rd straight HC with Bryce

Bryce doesn't run ST's or the Defense. Special teams gave up a TD as well as long punt returns and the defense gave way too many big plays AGAIN.

I'm not defending Bryce here. He didn't look good today and that's on him but the HC is responsible for the failings of the ST's and defense - not BY. Today was a total sh*t show and it all falls in Canales lap alone.

I am not sure if a new HC makes a difference. This stink starts at the top and that is the owner. The Panthers have consistently been one of, if not the worst NFL team since Tepper bought the team. No credible coach will want to coach here because of the owner.

Im willing to give him a chance without young.   Morgan needs to go though hes had enough bad decisions and hes never got heat for half of them.

I suspect that DC will get one more(partial) season with us.

I suspect Dan will be shown the door prior to season's end of 2026.

Same. I think Dan will get/take majority of the blame and we cut him loose then promote Eric Eager to GM. Also, I think we cut Evero loose as well. Dave will get one more chance with a FA QB (a la Geno Smith) and new DC.

One unit, has had all of our resources dumped into it the last several years as the expense of having a well built team.  That’s our offense.

the offense is also the one unit that has been bad every single game

so yeah, it’s Bryce.

it’s why I barely talk about the D because it literally by design supposed to be what is weak on the team right now.  If we spent our last 4 first round picks on the D and went into FA to form the most expensive DL in the NFL…..I might concede they are the problem.

If we draft a rookie in the 1st and keep Canales, we are going 4-13 or worse next year, so I don't get the point in keeping him. We'd have to hit a one in a million draft pick and I just don't see this team doing that.

I don't know why some of you are celebrating this loss, this just proves that next season is pointless as well unless we go after a veteran QB

Go back to the 4-3.  Hire an NFL coach with some experience.  For gods sake get a real GM thst knows what they are doing.  Pick a QB very early.

Get an entire new coaching staff and fire everyone

    • I feel like Canales, or anyone that had to depend on Young for success, should get a shot without him. IOW I agree we need to see that. He is green as poo. With too much on his plate, having to be QB guru play calling guru (around what might mouse can do), and the rest of the team too.  Steep learning curve.  People talk about you Young going elsewhere and succeeding should be wary of that with Canales. We knew to get a coach we had to hire one too early. And we did. So I am more hesitant to trash his potential than I am BY9. How big or fast Canales is, doesn’t matter; we can”t go by his physique to see his ceiling like we can with a high school sized QB with bad footwork.   as far as improving….. When the OL’s continuity gets messed with, you have setbacks and it takes time to re-establish. That happened to Dalton last year I think.  Things around him were just not that good. Out of sync. It never really settled back in before he had his accident. Same thing is happening here so it might be a while before we see any improvement, especially with this guy playing QB.  Maybe at home against a team doing us favors, we can see something better.
    • I was there in spring 2023. I just knew. Could see it in Bryce, what he is. College. And for me to see it, it needs to be obvious. I guess everyone thought his other ‘qualities’ overrode his physical deficiencies. Relative to the NFL.  With Tepper, we are down to hoping a blind squirrel finds that nut. On top of that, we have to worry he will think he can tell the nut how to be a nut.
    • If we were scoring 21+ points a games and losing because of our defense I know most of us could live with that. That would at least give a glimmer of hope that we’re only a draft or two away from being competitive on both sides of the ball. Our offense, the passing game in particular, is hard to watch. I feel like the Panthers go into every game overmatched at QB, the most important position in the game. You can’t win many games with a situation like that.
