It's not just a talent issue it's not just a scheme issue it's not just a playcalling issue it's not just a coaching issue. When you observe players basically going through the motions it says they don't believe in what they're doing and if they don't believe in what they're doing you evaluate every moving part and reassess. But you can't evaluate every moving part if the engine at the center does not possess the necessary ability for you to open up the entire field and keep the defense honest. What you see now is the result of three years of trying to build a system around this quarterback. All these players watch film together and see the same thing we do. And the only reason guys like TMac looked the way he did early on is because he is the newest part to the system. Only 4 games in and even he is starting to have the same body language.

All this other rabble about what Sam Darnold and Baker Mayfield are doing as if they are both very short and possess limited at best physical talent is just cope.

Every time I give up on Bryce I see poo like this and crack the door back open every so slightly. I mean holy poo nobody is having success with whatever this was.

Reality is you can cherry pick plays for basically every QB and show examples of the OL not doing there job and imploding on plays.  Same for freeze framing WRs and claiming WRs aren’t open.

we know factually, WRs have been open this season and overall the OL isn’t the problem to the offense.

We have a Bryce problem.  He didn’t fit Frank nor Canales’ offense and isn’t going to fit most traditional schemes.

Is it bad I found this video more hilarious than pathetic? I am still laughing at that one play where half the people on the field ran into each other and Bryce still couldn't see Chuba wide open... Also laughing at Cade blocking nobody and somehow losing his cleat

Man this offense is a poo show

I can say that I have defended Canales because I get that they are doing all they can to keep from looking like idiots for drafting Bryce, from the trade up to signing $150m guards to drafting XL and Brooks etc---nothing seems to work.  And Hiring Canales was part of the Bryce Young rehab program, so so he can't really decide to "move on."  That has to come from Morgan and Tepper.

Personally, I think Bryce is due for an injury.  He is small, he is not thick, and he has been a LOT more healthy than most any other QB has who has endured so much pressure.

The thing that bothers me is this---Bryce really does not go through his progressions quickly.  He locks on to his presnap read and stays locked onto him for too long--he seems to fail to anticipate the WR/TE's positioning on the play before the cut--for example, if the WR is running a dig and the CB has his back to the inside of the field, he should be open for a second or less just after the cut.  He seems to wait until the cut has been made before deciding, then checking down quickly while moving in the pocket.

OL:  There seems to be a lack of communication--is that on Mays?  Watch this team presnap--they seem a bit confused at times.   I can almost predict the success rate of the play by watching the center and QB before the snap.

Yeah the really only solution is drafting a QB 1st next year, signing a vet who will start next season, then continue building the roster.

How the fug is that solution? You think adding another QB fixes anything? That’s the type of thinking that got us here.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
