I think it's the kind of thing you line your trade partner up, in informal channels, and invoke it if they want you to. Let them decide if it is a benefit or a hindrance.

Normally you would just trade them prior to the option deadline so they are the ones making the decision. 

So picking it up and then trying to trade him is absolutely poisonous for all trade value. There is no team in the NFL that wants to have Bryce Young at $26.5 mil.

They had no problem getting Teddy, Sam, and Baker out of here pretty quickly.

As much as Bryce sucks, it makes sense. Doubt we can get a good QB in the draft and there aren't many options in free agency. Take a QB day 3 in this draft, try and bring in some type of QB competition, and/or draft a QB round 1 in 2027.

I know we got to 8 wins this year, but we won 6 of them by a FG. We are a handful of plays away from being a 4 win team and Canales being on the hot seat. If we have opposite luck next year in close games, we should have a top 5ish pick to get our QB

Or in our case, we also don't know when to not cut ties with QBs that are solid or better (i.e., Baker, Sam)
