Fan Poll - Did Deanglo's handling of his release tarnish his image?

I don't want this to be another topic on the who said whats or who was in the right or wrong. 

 

I would like to gauge Panthers fans reactions to how Deangelo handled his release and your feelings as a result.

I dont think it tarnished his image.  Hes only conducting 1 interview and he said what he felt he needed to say.  Its what he does from this point on that will determine if he tarnishes his image.  As long as he "leaves it where he left it", he will be fine.

Tarnish? I feel like its just what we expected. Social media has created an entirely new element to how we perceive fans. He's not a bad guy. Panther's all time leading rusher.

 

Most guys dont get to retire where they want anymore.

I believe had he done the interview and let that play out and the dust settle, no one would have really even paid much attention.

 

Obviously the station wanted views, so they played up the "Dwill vs Panthers" angle and that's kind of on them...

 

HOWEVER... since DWill got involved and was re-tweeting the TV stations tweets and had some words with Newton and Igo THAT is what soured me on him about this.  It's pretty obvious he had a beef and wanted it aired and it seemed to come off as straight up sour grapes and just downright vindictive.

 

It definitely lowered my opinion of him.

He came off as bitter and entitled and its not like he didnt know this was coming. he had to know! everyone knew

My opinion of him was already lowered after I heard about his beef with the team over his mom.  So, yes and no, kinda.

Never liked him to be honest. I think his image is what is. He'll have his fans and his haters. This didn't change anything.

He'll always have a home with Papa Fox. I'll bet he's in a Bears uniform, and scooping up Cutler's fumbles before you know it!

Only slightly, although he's been getting more annoying each year.  Honestly, it was hyped up and the interview wasn't even a big deal.  The biggest thing I took away from the interview was Hardy was the only teammate to show up to the funeral.

I voted "not at all" because I've always thought he was a d-bag outside of social media/events.  Any time I've seen him outside of that, he's came across as very standoffish.
