Im driving the Lance spaceship and always honest. Hes a huge future projection, a big gamble at investing a top ten pick in. What can I say, Im a believer that he will be a legit top tier NFL QB. That system at ND, its a pro system, its a great head-start for the NFL. I do believe he also needs time, maybe not a full year, but hes behind others in this. Hes all ball too, (wait until millions happen..) and thats very important in this super complicated world. Honestly its a perfect fit for Rhule, Teddy, and this current team. Yes teddy has bus marks on his back, still like Lance this team needs to do so growing w/o 10 million Teddy.

It won't surprise me if he's an All-Pro in five years. On the flip side, it also won't surprise me if he's out of the league in five years. He has boom or bust written all over him.

Every QB in this draft is a huge risk outside of Trevor. Just stay at 8 and take who falls. If the top 4 QBs are gone then draft the best LT available.

I rather live through another season of Teddy than knowing fuging Ron Rivera cost us a first round pick and then some for one meaningless win.

Only reason this team should be considered giving up draft capital is for a proven commodity.

Miami and Cincy are our most likely trade partners.

We trade with Miami if either Fields or Wilson falls to 3 and we felt strongly they were QB#2

We trade to 5 if we like all the top 4 equally and are ok getting whoever is there.

Atlanta is a real key because I truly don't think they are going to take a QB, I see them taking Slater or Sewell.

Miami really doesn't want to pick at 3 and will want to trade down but if someone doesn't blow them away with an offer they might get stuck taking Devonta at 3.

Cincy makes a ton of sense to trade with because they will get their guy Sewell or Slater at 8 in all likelihood

The more I learn about Lance, the more I like him and the less I am worried about his 'negatives'.

I was hoping we had a shot at Lance at 3-5. Dream world he is at 8.

yea Lance at 8 is basically my number two most desired scenario behind trading for Watson

People need to realize there is a very good chance that he might not be QB4 on our board.  After Trevor there is going to be some variance with the QBs.

Also it seems people are overthinking the Cam comparisons and/or they are just Cam fans who get their feelings hurt if anyone is compared to Cam.

Nobody thinks he is the physical specimen of Cam, he isn't as big.

What they are saying, is he probably has one of the strongest arms since Cam, that is actually a huge compliment to Cam because there have been a lot of QBs drafted since then.

Also he is one of the best running QBs since Cam, especially when you factor in the ability to run with power.  There are a lot of QBs that can scramble, and have some speed, but what made Cam different was his ability to also run with power.  Here again, huge compliment to Cam, they aren't saying he is as good but you have to go back to Cam to find someone who is similar or better at it.

I would love to draft Trey Lance but that’s a steep price to pay for a guy with a huge risk attached to him. As the Super Bowl showed us, winning at the highest level is more than just good QB play. I’d rather continue to build up a good team and draft or sign another QB later in the draft than give up future assets if the right guy isn’t there.

I really don't get it with Lance.

As I said, I was curious about him after his 2019 season, but the tape doesn't blow you away.

Why didn't he transfer to a college that was playing football in 2020? I'm sure the NCAA would have waived the need to sit out.
