So, a year ago, Tampa was in win now mode?

Yeah they were loaded. Evans, Goodwin, Howard as a high pick (busted), Suh, JPP, and a decent line. Winston’s turnovers held them back. As soon as they signed Brady people were talking about all the weapons he will have there. Still had the money to sign Gronk, AB, and Fournette with a seasoned head coach.

Probably why it is a bad fit at the same time.  Two huge dickheads normally don't make for a good partnership.

But I think Rodgers is looking for a Tom scenario.  What team is built where I can just walk in and go get a quick ring and have a say in how to go about it.

Atlanta or Miami

Gotta wonder if this Green Bay deal will sway Atlanta to do something different.

Don't forget, Matt LaFleur and Arthur Smith are best friends outside of work.  Arthur has to look at what is happening and wonder if he should just stick with Matt Ryan/see what he can do, or find a successor.

Lance is the one QB that makes sense because he'll need time to develop, but you never know.

While I'd love to get him, I could stomach 3 first rounders for Watson pre-legal issues because of his age.  I guarantee the Packers aren't even listening to any offers, let alone any with less than 3 first round picks.  No way I'd give that much up for a guy in his mid-30s who seems to be growing further and further away from football.

    • 2.7 seconds. If he can get the ball out in under 2.7 accurately to the medium and short routes then they can have a better offense than we saw last year.  Someone said he only had 1.5. That happened more than it should have but that was not the norm for the majority of the snaps. Maybe spending $153 million buys a little better than the weak players mostly involved in those 1.5 fails. Maybe Corbett sucks as a C but let’s at least wait a couple of outings to declare it. If he is adequate at best the OL might become an asset as the year passes. Looking at you Icky. How they help him will be a big part of how well they can operate. I think he needs a lot of help. People were beating him with quickness you have to help him. Unless he just morphs into reliable.  I do think it’s on Young to protect his tackles and himself by making shallower dropbacks. Canales looks to be taking charge of QB operating procedure and pushing it more conventional which I am for.  Question on Young, what is he really good at? Because Canales keeps saying he is going to find what Young is good at and lean into that. So whatever he does best along with handing off plenty seems like the plan. I get afraid when he throws a shallow to the sideline pass of any distance, so they’ll probably do a lot of that.
    • Did we ever get an answer on why pete bypass him for OC?
    • 2010, 2019, and 2022 are maybe top 3.
