33 1/4 inch arms are not long enough for a NFL OT.

Unfortunately, arm length could be an issue for Sewell. His arms are 33 1/4 inches long. NFL teams like their tackles to have 34-inch arms because it allows them to keep defensive ends away from their body.

Sewell is gonna suck.

I think the expectation is he comes in as a LT.

If that doesn't pan out and he turns into a starting LG its still a solid pick.

I really like this pick. I dont love that he'll be 25 in September and his level of competition certainly leaves something to be desired BUT this guy is a phenomenal athlete.

Both have really short arms for their size. I mean thats less than 72" if I'm correct. Still I have seen guys with great mesurables suck.

Just fyi though. Jordan Gross had 33 1/4 reach so...

    • It's not sustainable,  although he deserve credit for the win also, as he made clutch plays as he does with every win we have.
    • As much as I would love to sit here and bash on Young.  I can't.   He is absolutely a part of this team winning.  He is the cool hand leading the offense along with the hammer, Rico.  He's making plays on 3rd and 4th downs, that are absolutely helping thus team win.  Is Bryce playing as well as we'd like? Nope. Although he had only 1 week off from a high ankle sprain.   No question he was 100% in the Greenbay game.  I'm not even sure where the team would find a clear upgrade over Byrce.  He is a leader.  In the 4th quarter, he has ice in his veins.  He is a part of why our team is enjoyable to watch again.  Without him, we wouldn't be winning.    Anyways.  Y'all enjoy yet another thread designed to tear down the man.
    • Great article on all the Lil Canes attending their debutantes ball. Walt with a great breakdown of all the rookies, as always, and I'm a huge fan of his team coverage, he is truly a treasure, but as a fan of mixed metaphors and superfluous language which some might ignorantly refer to as a "run-on sentence" I never really understood what that mean or where to put the comma after a quote in the middle of a sentence, but holy poo Walt, this is a gem, "While there's a long road left in front of them left to determine whether or not they'll have that same success on the blue line again, the beginning stretch of the journey has been thrown a wrench, and the story on defense has been the emergence of up-and-comers forced into becoming lineup regulars." , bravo, take a bow, sir!
