  • That pass Jake threw to Proehl (I think) to come from behind vs the Jags when he came in for Peete.
  • Kris Jenkins blocked what would be the winning extra point at the end of the game vs Tampa Bay one year and sent the game to overtime--we won it.
  • Deshaun Foster's 1-yard run vs Philly in the NFC championship game
  • Moose's long TD reception in super bowl 38.
  • Sam Mills interception that led to the first team victory vs the Jets (I think).

- X clown for sure.  Remember being at a friends house and we were supposed to be heading out to a party but the game kept going and we sat there in amazement.  I had no faith that we could win that game before it started, special moment for sure

- few weeks before that versus the Cowboys in the wild card round.  First playoff game I attended, was at night, Madden and then hank Williams jr on the big screen before the game as it was an ABC broadcast and thus included all the MNF stuff.  As a teenager that was special.

- then obviously the NFC championship.  A surreal experience to be there for that one.  The domination of the game, The trophy presentation, then walking back to the hotel with cars honking and everyone in uptown pumped up.  Ready to get back to the playoffs and make some morE memories

A twist on the JAG's post..

Obviously the SB years will be top moments for people but what are some of your favorite/most impactful memories you have as your time as a panther fan?

X-Clown and it's not even close.

I'll skip the obvious and more recent ones.

I'll go back to the second year in 1996 when we beat San Francisco twice to win the NFC West.

And then when we went up 7-0 on the frozen tundra in Green Bay on the Collins to Howard Griffith td pass in the NFC title game, I thought for a moment, "Holy crap! We might go to the Super Bowl in our second year."

Of course it was all down hill in that game from there.

X-Clown is the #1, like a lot folks have said. It was such a roller coaster of emotions watching that game, and in the end that play was almost cathartic to watch. Simply amazing from start to finish and St Louis was one of the toughest places to play in that time.

Another one that is still a favorite of mine, which @pantherclaw alluded to that most of the younger generation may not remember or even know about, is the playoff beatdown we gave the Cowboys back in 97. All week long they'd been running their mouths about how they would easily run over the speedbump in Carolina, and their Coach Swizzlestick even went so far as to say he "had never traveled this far South for a playoff game." Complete disrespect for the team, its fans, and the area as a whole. So you can imagine how much fun it was to break their Superbowl dynasty like we did.

During the game, Irvin broke his collarbone after being tackled by Lathon and I can't remember who did it, but watching Neon Deion get knocked out cold was kind of satisfying, as he'd been running his mouth since his days with Atlanta non-stop. It was pretty much a landmark victory that put our team on the map, and made for one heck of a proud moment for us brand spanking new Panther fans. Great game and one of my favorites for sure.

Here's an article about the game I found interesting and well-written:

and not really a good memory but memorable…

A desperate Carolina team with no QB…called a 43 year old off his couch and with only a handful of days of prep….he became the oldest QB to ever win a NFL game.

I still remember the 2008 game vs the Bucks. Where we racked up 300 yards rushing.. I was watching that game with my buddy who is a Bucks fan and it was the best time.. it birthed one of the best stiff arms ever..

MNF game, i was at this game watching from the nosebleeds. It was pure dominance against the Bucks.

My #1 is opening day 2003.  I went with my family.  I mean we rolled in deep, 15-20 of us.  We (and 73,000) boo'd Rodney Peete and his -1 yards passing in the first half off the field.  Fast forward to 4th & 12 and that was the first time I ever felt the Earth move beneath my feet.

    • I used to think Juan was a Zod alt. Agree he's a great poster.
    • Hawks said nah we good and sent him to the shadow realm aka the Wizards. Cold blooded. I mean they're 2-2 in a series with a young up and coming Knicks team largely through 34 year old CJ McCollum. Even if they ultimately lose the series at least they are there and have something to build on. I think Hornets fans are just beaten down and lack the objectivity to assess the situation. They think we are going to get so much worse if and when we finally change gears. Worse how? We've already been a lottery team for years now. We've already been looking to win our first playoff series in about a quarter century. We already can't get past the play in and in failing to do so we have completely embarrassed ourselves twice looking like we don't even belong. Honestly there is absolutely no excuse for a team like the Magic to be more competitive and successful than us in the playoffs. Absolutely disgusting. But that's just me. I was fuging lit when we got the Hornets back in Charlotte but that is old old news. It's time for these boys to get into a playoff series. Enough is enough. If they can't do it for 2026-27 then they need to make wholesale changes regardless.
    • Not one single pick that is asking me why we drafted a guy in the first place. It was a guy we needed and/or a guy that had certain traits making them stand out. Best of all, I feel everyone we drafted are capable of stepping onto the field this year and have a meaningful role (even Kuwatch on special teams). Obviously, nothing is guaranteed but I'm not seeing any huge flags on guys because they're risky projects or massive overreaches.
