Blatant Screw Job By These Refs

Yeah, it's been a major poo show. NFL don't care though, they won't ever do anything to the refs. Shitty refs will never get better until the NFL ACTUALLY starts holding them responsible for horse poo calls.

They won't do anything because these agendas to influence the games in specific ways is coming from the NFL themselves.  As I've said for as long as I can remember - anytime big money is involved, anything can be corrupted.  Seeing poo like tonight legit made me have horrific flashbacks to Superbowl 50 and realizing that none of our team's hardwork or accomplishments meant anything, because I was watching everything our guys worked for just stolen from us, right in front of our very eyes, and there was nothing we could do about it.  I felt so sick and violated.  We knew what was happening, and we couldn't do anything to stop it, no matter what we tried.

Luckily it seems like it was more of a "hey, keep the Texans in the game" screw job than a "hey, make sure the Texans win" screw job.

The easiest "tell" when it comes to a game with a partial agenda is when a team mysteriously gets holding calls on their offense plays and pass interference and illegal contact calls on key defensive plays.  Illegal contact being a dead ringer.

    • To me, this seems like they feel they aren't going to be competitive. I can't help but go back to Bryce. Good guy, but he doesn't inspire people to give it their all. He isn't a "leader" that people look to. There is no Smith, Delhomme, Kuechly, Cam, etc. coming in that door.  It has to be Bryce, but biologically speaking, how often is the shortest man in the room going to command the kind of respect that will drive people? It just isn't. That isn't how we are wired. That isn't how any living animal on Earth today is wired.  I just follow the science guys.
    • Vick's issue with Reid was that he couldn't take a hit, and he wouldn't go down. Otherwise he was pretty good much of the time.  Mahomes has a system that works. Mahomes doesn't become Mahomes elsewhere because not everyone can extract 125% of the ability of a specific player like Reid can. Kevin O'Connell is beginning to look like he has that ability as well but I'll need to see how he does with his Redshirt Freshman.  I also wonder how much of their playoff issue last year was related to the offense as a whole and not just Darnold. Fans don't really dive into the "why" things happen, they just see the what and complain about it.
