Shaq Thompson is playing as good as Thomas Davis in his prime.

I wouldn't quite go that far, TD in his prime was the best 4-3 OLB in the league. But Shaq is definitely trending towards All-Pro territory and has been an absolute stud through 3 games. Love to see it and we really needed him to step up like this.

BTW, outside of Jansen, is Shaq the last player remaining from the Super Bowl team?

TD in his prime?   Nah can't cosign that.  But he is definitely playing the best he ever has.  Before this year he wasn't even in the same state as TD in his prime.  Now he is in the same city.. might be same neighborhood if it keeps up.  But for a year or 2 after the 3rd knee surgery.. TD was one of the baddest #$#$$# on the planet.

Trending toward All-Pro after 3 games?!?  He has a couple nice games against some of the worst offenses in the league...lets not get crazy.

    • Watching games this year again and Bryce missed a wide open XL many times and some of them were in the endzone. I get the kid has mental lapses and hasn't broke out yet, but this is year three on a rookie deal! Cutting bait now is too early. If he hasn't gained anymore trust from his QB, posted any highlights, little production, or outright gets beat out then we can talk movement.
    • Samesies   I truly may just cash completely out of Panther football if we give him a long term deal that isnt necessary.  I have watched NFL for 50 years now and I can without a shadow of a doubt say you cannot win consistently with BY.  Way too many limitations to deal with.   I may come back around in 3 years when the inevitable happens and all parties are either cut and/or fired.  Giving him a deal before this season so you hopefully can get him cheaper in case he "blows up" or if you truly believe that he will has to be the most moronic decision a gm can make when the evidence is laid before you with different players
    • This is the one! I was at that game and all KB had to do was lay down on the corner after the pick or make an obvious tag while he was down. He had already ran a lazy route. Then if Cam would've just walked to the sideline like most elite QBs instead of trying to make the tackle.  A lot of people bring up the TJ Watt hit, but he just reaggravated a bunch of scar tissue from that play. And every Cam hater said that the running did him in and it was a dive tackle attempt on an interception that initially began the shoulder deterioration. He still went to New England later and would've got them in the playoffs had their A team not sat out the covid year. We quit on him too early. But hey how good was Teddy? Am I right?
