He's young and with surgery broken bones should be healed by January. Kids not going to be out of shape either. He probably could take a year off and still ball out. The likelihood of us making that far is probably less likely.

When you're recovering from a foot injury you're not going to be immediately in football game shape no matter how young and talented you are. His dad played over a decade in the league. He's seen these situations before. He's gonna be in Jaycee's ear on how to handle this. He's not gonna let his son put himself in danger of injury by going out there and playing before he should.

It's more about does this mean Horn might be in trouble long term.

And do I want Gilmore over Djax?

Djax has been playing great and is 6 years younger and Gilmore is coming off PUP

Why would you think he would be in trouble long term?  Hes very young, in great shape and is a top level athlete.  Its not a Liz Frank (fug that bitch) injury.  Broken bones heal up and are just as strong as they were pre-break.  Definitely don't think he should be back this year though.  He should be fine next year though.  Hell, Dak Prescott broke his ankle and it was coming thru the skin a year ago, and now hes back like he never left.

I hate that Djax cannot Tackle and he has improved some (at tackling)... but I do believe he is the most likely option moving to a Safety position. If anyone in the CB does

He has been a fantastic tackler. It'd been very noticeable

Im not so sure i value Henderson over D jack right now. DJack has been playing lights out.

People ignore this so bad he sit down his side of the field and he he’s made every tackle so far .  Oh yeah he gets picks and run a 4.3 but our fanbase don’t like him so they ignore his pros

    • What's wrong with Damien Lewis? He played pretty well last year.
    • Official NFL Cuts Tracker Deadline for roster cuts is Tuesday, August 26th. At this moment (Friday, August 22nd) the only interesting names I see are... K Caden Davis (BUF) RB Ameer Abdullah (SF) WR Equanimeous St. Brown (SF) WR Donovan Peoples-Jones (NO) LB Khaleke Hudson (TEN) Abdullah, St. Brown, Peoples-Jones I don't exactly think we should cut anybody for but it was just interesting seeing those names. Khaleke Hudson was on the Panthers' practice squad last year I believe and might have even gotten called up? And of course, Caden Davis just because of the question mark at kicker this season for the team.
    • I'll say 6/10. I don't know that we learned a whole lot about this team during preseason that we didn't already know. We didn't play the starters enough to really get a feel for what to expect. We had one good drive against the Browns, one 3-and-out and two 3-and-outs against the Texans. That's an extremely small sample size across 3 games regardless of performance. My camp/preseason takeaways: Jalen Coker might be the best WR on this team and is certainly no worse than #2. Nic Scourton is going to be a good player for us. Possibly very good. Bobby Brown was our best free agent addition. Jack Plummer isn't an NFL QB. Not even a practice squad guy. Having anyone other than Canales and Evero call plays was a really stupid and pointless idea. Our depth is largely non-existent, especially on defense. The three areas we actually DO have depth are on the OL, in the WR corp. and at RB. I can't fathom why Dan Morgan didn't do more to upgrade ILB during the offseason. We better hope Lathan Ransom steps up at FS because if he doesn't we have a massive hole. For all the hype surrounding Sanders/Evans, Tommy Tremble is still the best TE on the roster. I'm only slightly less enthusiastic going into the regular season than I was a month ago. I think our starters on offense are solid and we should be pretty good there unless Bryce totally regresses. On defense, we're probably bottom 3rd in the league if 100% healthy and significantly worse than that if injuries become an issue. We badly need at least two of our rookies to become high-level players early (ideally one of the pass rushers + Ransom) and at least 2 of our free agent additions (ideally Moehrig + Bobby Brown) to be significant upgrades over last year. Call me pessimistically optimistic 😆
