I'm fine with moves like this. I mean, we traded a 6th round pick from two years from now. We didn't exactly hamstring ourselves. Hell, we might end up getting that pick back or possibly even upgrading that pick via a comp pick if we let him walk in FA.

If you want the playoffs this year, then put Christensen at LT, try Erving at LG, and go ahead and let Brown run the RG spot.  Let Elf and Paradis play C.

I feel like the nfl is trying to build up its future power houses and the panthers are next on the list.

Let's say Gilmore is 90% of what he once was before father time and the injury. Huge win. Let say he's injury riddled and plays poorly. We're not on the hook beyond this season and we only lost a 6th rounder in 2023.
