Are you going to be the one who tells everyone it’s OK when we’ve gone 3-27 after the “good starts” from 2018 through this year? This season definitely isn’t over, but when you finish 3-24 before this year WTF is there to talk about other than draft slots and prospects? I don’t seem to remember any draft talk during 2013-2017. I wonder why? It’s not because some of us aren’t super fans like you, it’s because at the midpoint of the season it’s unfortunately been obvious that we weren’t going to the playoffs.

We all can’t be a better fan like you who keeps this team on track and hopeful with you undying support. I don’t know where these players would be without you. Those of us who enjoy the draft process will start thinking draft as @PhillyB said when we lose enough that we know the season isn’t ending in playoffs.

Also, because I still don’t think it registers with you elite fans, we enjoy the draft because it gives us hope that we’ll find a Luke or Cam or Gross or Moore, etc. Amazingly enough we actually want to draft well so gasp, we make the playoffs again. Man, pompous asses who actually think they are better than others are truly annoying and not fun at parties. Drink a beer, relax and enjoy yourself without thinking so much about other people that you start a stupid thread like this.

    • a 4th for him is well worth the risk.  It is also a low enough pick that it shouldn't really shake the locker room.  A 4th rounder that will sit this year and maybe take Pickett's spot next year or best case midseason where we can flip Kenny to a QB needy team midseason.  It's also a nice insurance policy for Young.  Especially with him sitting a year and learning the system.  Seems like a low risk move.  You can still draft one next year if needed and let them compete.
    • He was draft eligible last year and chose to go back to transfer and play another year of college ball despite it being a weak QB draft and next year's considered to likely he far better and now people think teams are going to part with a higher pick than he would've gotten drafted with in April after it's come out that he's basically a degenerate gambling addict? What am I missing here? I'll be surprised if any team offers up more than a 5th and it won't surprise me if no one even offers that.
    • If You’re a team with multiple 1st round picks it would be a decent setup for a gamble - if I understand the rules.  You are bidding 2027 currency and get to use the player in 2026.     You get the season to look at him and if you are unhappy then you still have another 1st round pick for after the season. Two in the case of the Jets.   So if you mess it up there is a fast way to recover from it.
