Sooooo... What of PJ plays lights out Sunday?

It’s only a matter of time. If he was lights out Idt he’d be on the bench. He also made some seriously questionable throws in the ATL game when he got in.

Almost cost us the game by throwing across his body into the end zone running the other way. I’m not buying PJ stock long term.

Let's say PJ throws for 350 yards and 3 TDs with no turnovers.

You start him against Washington and give Cam more time to learn the offense?

That's a real funny joke, Zod.

Unlikely hypothetical but if he is just out there crushing it and commanding the offense, you gotta keep playing the hot hand.

But, if we do see that, the questions about the staff's ability to evaluate that position get even louder. You had most of the season you could have started him and didn't.

I think after Sunday most will see why he HASN'T been playing and it will anger fans more that he is even on the roster at all.

He wont have any turnovers but no TDs. 150 yards

Eh...I don't think that's a guarantee either, BP.

Hell...he almost threw a game-changing(and maybe game-losing) INT after Sam went down.

If he has an entire game with 0 ints, it will be either because we are running the ball EXTREMELY EFFECTIVELY or Cam is playing instead and PJ is on the bench.

If the Queen had balls she’d be the King.

If a frog had wings he wouldn’t bump his ass every time he hops.

If if’s and buts were candy and nuts, we’d all have a merry Christmas.

If kyler and Hopkins are out Sunday and pj is sucking bad I hope they have some packages for cam. It’s shitty and not fair to cam but if we can sneak out a win in Arizona our probability of going to the playoffs goes up pretty significantly with 3 terrible teams coming up after with wft, Miami and Atlanta after the bye. 9 wins will probably make the playoffs.

that said if kyler plays don’t put in cam at all. Although cam might not even be suited up.

You don't pay Cam Newton $4.5-$10Mil for half a season to sit behind PJ Walker. No matter how well PJ plays this is now Cams team for the remainder of the season. Cam starts against WFT. Bet

I don't think PJ will do that well, although he might play well enough to win, especially if Murray is out.

But on the slight chance he does play lights out against the Cardinals, then the amount of money Cam is making shouldn't enter into the conversation.  Rhule should start whomever gives us the best chance of winning, period.

    • Former league executive and current NFL.com analyst Marc Ross recently named his top second-year breakout candidates for the upcoming campaign. Ross includes Legette, who may be helped out by his team's latest first-round selection. He writes: Legette had a slow start to his NFL career, catching 49 passes for 497 yards and four touchdowns last season. Some of the struggles can be tied to his own growing pains -- he had eight drops on 81 targets, according to Pro Football Focus -- but he had also had to navigate the quarterback shuffle between Bryce Young and Andy Dalton early in Dave Canales' first season leading the Panthers. Canales recently said he believes Carolina has a DK Metcalf-like talent in Legette, who had foot surgery this offseason but was cleared to resume work in early April, and that having a full offseason alongside Young, who took a significant step forward in 2024, could lead to a breakout result in 2025. I anticipate it will also help that Carolina invested another first-round pick in a wide receiver, Arizona's Tetairoa McMillan, to complement Legette in the pass game. McMillan's presence, however, could take some pressure off Legette—who may be able to roam around in a more natural playmaking role. With the 6-foot-4 All-American likely to take on the bulk of the volume from Young, Legette should have some cleaner shots to break out downfield and in the box score.     https://pantherswire.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/panthers/2025/05/06/panthers-wr-xaiver-legette-top-breakout-candidates-2025/83475176007/?taid=681a4610ede05d000149b376&utm_campaign=trueanthem&utm_medium=trueanthem&utm_source=twitter
    • my understanding is a big time throw, could be a 5-10 yard slant to Adam Thielen given AT isn't going to separate.
