Yep. This year Cam gets his feet back underneath him so to speak, learns the offense and Hell maybe even leads us to a Wild Card berth. Next year though, with a full off-season and training camp is when I really think the magic happens. I fully expect him to come in and light it up. So fuging excited that it’s silly.

Is he under contract for next season

Some people are born to follow (there’s nothing wrong with that) and some are born to lead, Cam was born to lead.

Whether you are religious or not, the part where he talks about his journey and his faith is eye opening. While he’s still the same Cam there is a lot of things that just seem different about him (in a good way).

A wise man once said that “a minor setback paves the way for a major comeback”.

I don’t expect Cam to come in and be Superman, after all he’s not 22 anymore… but I wouldn’t be shocked to see him become the ultimate leader and will this team to the playoffs through his drive, passion, leadership, and accountability.

Welcome Back!

No but he will be assuming he plays decent the rest of this year. They tried to sign him for 2 years to begin with. Cam wanted multiple years, so they settled on 1 to get things started. If everything works out he will be back for sure.

    • Why is it a no-brainer? I mean the idea of a hold out made me laugh out loud.
    • Oh, oh. I see what you are saying. Yeah but not all of those were draft for draft replacements. Jones was a dumpster dive. The overall point I was making is that it is becoming more common to see this quick pivots as people realize their mistakes. It happens with a lot of busts historically at QB.  IDK about "most teams" have fast, capable WR's. It's a mixed bag across the league. There are the Hopkins, Evans, etc that aren't sub-4.5 guys and are still star players.
    • So if it comes down to that, and it played out, we could be looking at a post June 1 designation for his 5th year money at best. Assuming it is guaranteed which I don’t know.     13.25 mil cap hit in 2027 and 2028.   I have to admit I never really went into the angles after picking up the option. I have always been don’t do it.    So, you pay him the 12 mil for year 4 and if you want out when they go into extension lobbying you trade or cut.  Is that conceivable?   The thing about trading is, I believe all the guaranteed money hits your cap right then. That’s 26.5 million if correct.  So if they picked up the 5th, this would cover the ‘we want out’ expenses from our end, after year 4.   Correct?
