This loss is on the defense. Cam played very well, especially considering he only signed 10 days ago. The OL was even decent overall.

The D needed to step up against a backup QB and couldn't get the job done.

Well at least we had decent enough QB play again and it’ll be interesting to see as Cam gets more comfortable in the offense. We all knew the coaching staff is still garbage and the Oline will still have their problems. The defense is solid and young but has gotten away with playing many rookies and backups to inflate its stats to the point people think ints a legit top 3 defense when it’s closer to a top 10 one at best. If Darnold was in this game it wouldn’t have been this close with the way it was playing.

How do you not give Cam Robby deep down field on that last play if he gets caught up and has to launch it for a 50/50 ball?
