The coaching was always a problem and still is, and many said that even then...  but Darnold is a special kind of bad, especially with this coaching staff.

I dont know that Darnold was the answer.  It was looking more and more like he wasnt.  But he was young and had the physical tools and potential that they hoped to mold and it didnt work out.  I'm just not sure why people were ready to anoint Cam as the undeniable saviour immediately.  That's unfair to everyone including him.  We know what Cam is, we have a decent idea of what he can be, and we definitely know what he was.  I dont think any of this has to be boiled down to hating any player.  In the end I just want to win.

I hope Cam gets better, but Rhule tied his fate to Sam Darnold, and it might end up meaning he gets fired after this season is over.  

 

Meanwhile Mac Jones might end up being rookie of the year.
