If Tep wants me to spend money and be engaged he needs to put a product on the field...hes a business man and hes failed miserably... If the shtshow is in town next year...i'll spend my bucks doing something else...its tough love... who on this team do you get excited about... CMC who has had 2 good seasons outta 5?

The article made it sound like Rhule is wishy washy regarding the quarterback.  It sounds like bad decisions are being made.  They are looking for the next Arron Rogers, Brady, Brees, etc.

correct me if I am wrong but, Cam Newton had tremendous success, in the past.  As a Saints fan, I worried the most about playing against Cam.  He was successful against the Saints.

At the beginning of this season, Panthers went 3-0.  I honestly do not know what happened, after game 4.  Something is wrong but, I don’t think it is the quarterback.

The QB is one of the problems.

So another offseason of Rhule getting his "versatile" players through FA and the draft while other teams actually get good players that excel at one position. So pretty much another wasted offseason, another wasted season, another wasted draft, and setting this franchise back even more.

Yeah I'm officially done with Tepper and this franchise if we retain. I already haven't tuned into the last two Panther games and it's been fantastic. I forgot how much time there is to do stuff on Sunday without football in my life. Panther football is coming to an end I'm afraid. Doesn't even fee like the same franchise anymore tbh. Oh well, it's been a fun 18 years watching, but there's just no point in stressing about this team anymore if this is what we have to look forward too. Just no worth it.

I'm debating watching a bit of it to see what may be Cam's last game.

that's really my sole interest.

I’m completely the opposite on this. We shouldn’t be spending money on FAs. Make it a rebuild like 2020 should have been. Get comp picks and go from there. Select an OL with every pick we have and let Sam and PJ get battered while we give those rookies and BC as much time as possible. Then have a full cupboard of picks with comp picks (3rd, 4th and 5th for Donte, Reddick and Gilmore) in 2023. Hopefully, there’s a QB we can groom and a new coach will be interested with the assets we’ll have.

Is that a path you can see a coach who needs to save his ass following though?

    • Number 9  Carolina Panthers  Bryce Young, the first overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, produced career highs in completion percentage (63.6%), passing yards per game (188.2) and passing touchdowns (23) in 2025. However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down. He threw for the third-fewest passing yards by a quarterback to make the playoffs in the last 20 seasons, per CBS Sports Research.  FEWEST PASSING YARDS BY QB TO REACH PLAYOFFS, LAST 20 SEASONS (MIN. 16 STARTS) PASSING YARDS PLAYOFF WINS 2012 Christian Ponder (MIN) 2,935 0 2008 Joe Flacco (BAL) 2,971 2 2025 Bryce Young (CAR) 3,011 0 2006 Steve McNair (BAL) 3,050 0 2019 Josh Allen (BUF) 3,089 0 Young did deliver some high highs, like when he threw for a franchise-record 448 yards passing in a Week 11 overtime win at the Atlanta Falcons and when he went toe-to-toe with Stafford in the playoffs in a 34-31 defeat.  Kenny Pickett couldn't win the Cleveland Browns' quarterback competition a year ago, and Will Grier is a career backup. This is Young's team.
